Pence can still assemble the Cabinet. What I do think he will do is assume the de facto power of the President with the staff not allowing Trump to take any actions. it is said that Kissinger did that with Nixon. It appeared that he already did that yesterday.
I guess that would work, but that along with the official censure of impeachment would be more appropriate.
I like this Republican.... I think he has a bright and important future But he does need a better wardrobe consultant. Dark suit, white shirt and solid tie if you want to convey seriousness.
Just watched an interview with him. Seems like a reasonable person. and more of a traditional Republican.
I wouldn't put it past Trump to pre-emptively fire his whole cabinet to head off a 25th amendment scenario. He just withdrew Chad Wolf's DHS nomination after Wolf criticized the insurrection.
I think this might actually happen more so than this morning, they are tossing it to Pence/cabinet to immediately remove because that is the safest temporary solution, but I don't think Chuck would say this unless he knew Nancy was ready to do the same.
