Easterby single handedly botched the Caserio hire 2 years ago. He has done nothing except gotten promoted since then. It's simply amazing.
kind of feels like to me that Easterby is just a realization for the McNairs of the state of society in general. They will surround themselves with people who think like them over what is truly in the best interest of the team as a whole. "Culture fits" is just conservative speak to people who's ideologies align and will spite anything that is contrary to their opinion and push a very particular agenda. Surround yourself with those who only talk about the same things every single day, close out any lateral thinking and you will get perpetual mediocrity or worse.
