What is our Offense SUPPOSE to look like?

I am confused. I don't understand what I am suppose to look for.. . .

PJ had a good game but I don't think having him doing dribble hand offs is gonna work well
Harden got blitzed a few time when he crossed the court.

I see a lot of the stuff we ran under MDA and the same stuff in Dallas. Drive and kick out/wrap around pass to the corner three point shooters .

Per HardenOnlyFans (Harden dribble, dribble, dribble, step back, brick) or from Silas's perspective?

They need a playmaking frontcourt player. Wouldn't mind starting some games with boogie and wood together.

This probably isn’t the answer you’re looking for but it’s not supposed to look like anything, it’s supposed to score a lot of points. The goal is not to meet any aesthetic standard, the goal is to score the most points per possession.

it’s the coaches job to figure that out. We saw MDAs approach to this and it gave us historic regular season offenses, and slightly above average playoff offense.

Silas has to figure out the best offense to run with this personnel that will score the most points. We really haven’t seen anything that resembles a flowing offense yet. Some of the passing and cutting looks nice and the ball moves, but it’s not very productive.

I don’t think Silas knows the answer yet. I hope he’s still tinkering and I know the players are still gaining familiarity. It’s gonna take time and sadly it doesn’t look like we have a lot.

No boogie is done. We need a center not named pj tucker. Tucker needs to be coming off the bench at this point. We need a guy who can block shots and rebound since wood seems to have a tapeworm and isn't big enough.

We need to run pnr/pop like 1000 times. Once we get that going, wall and harden with Wood and Boogie both can shoot the three with confidence, this team is unstoppable. James knows it. He just has to be patient cause this new team is just getting used to playing ALL together. Good mix of vets and youngens. That Tate and Nwaba is gonna be killer in a couple of months.

The problem is between James and Wall, neither is any good off the ball.

The problem I see is that people want Harden to play into a system. So he's running set plays and getting looks for guys who just can't make buckets. Now everyone knows why our entire offense was Harden ISO. This offense is way worse cuz we don't have the pieces to make it work.

Why are we running plays to get guys who are vastly inferior to Harden shots. I don't mind the 20 dribble step back because its a better shot than anyone else shooting wide open threes.

Hopefully a random discombobulated mess, otherwise we are executing it really poorly.

I have some concerns. This has always been an issue that Harden would have about 5 more assist a game
if someone would just hit and open shot

    We simply DON'T HAVE SHOOTERS
3 pt shooters or even mid range shooters.

HOUSE - an occasional streaky 3 but midrange-no. . .. driving-well that is an adventure
PJ - Corner 3 or bust
BMac - Streaker 3 .. . midrange is a work in progress . . .waiting to see his drives
EGO - Good Streaker 3 . . . dunno about his midrange. . . herky jerky drives don't look good but work
    Wall - Drives well . .. midrange.not sold on it. . . .3 ball . . its a surprise
Wood and Cousins - threes are soso . . . can be monsters down low . .. midrange needs work

Would be great if they played any defense and maybe grab a rebound

I'm not sure what our offense is supposed to look like. But I am sure we're supposed to be making more shots than they've been making.

    Some guys lack the Talent

Harden goes into the lane and two 7 footers are there. . . one with 8 blocks or something ridiculous
So .. he passes off to the cutting man . . .and it gets blocked

Immediately everyone was of the mind Harden should have forced the shot . .. . aka HERO BALL
if that had been blocked .. . we say he should have passed it. . . . .

We see repeated missed passes to the 3 pt shooter while we working for a 2

OUR LOSING NOW IS LEGIT definition of 3>2
because the other teams are getting 3s . . .and we are getting 2s

    We shot 48%
    They shot 47%

    1. They got more shots - Rebounds and turnovers
    2. they shot 1 more three on less shots
