Are you sure that BLM was doing the looting and burning? I agree that all of those looters and vandals deserved what they got but I think you are lumping everyone in with BLM, there were a lot of opportunist and anarchist. Thats who Joy was talking about the people who were actually peacefully protesting.

There's no doubt that it should be enacted and trump removed from office. What he did, and continues to do today, is more than enough justification for it. There is doubt that it will happen. I've seen no indication of the will and the courage on the part of Republicans to do it. When Congress reconvenes later tonight to continue to certify the electoral college votes Joe Biden won fair and square, and do it without the farcical charade people like Cruz were gleefully putting on, then maybe it's sunk in that trump is a severe danger to the Republic and that today, on more than one occasion, he urged his supporters to commit acts of sedition. What trump has done today proves that he must be removed from office before doing something even worse. Personally, I don't think the Republicans I've seen have the nerve to do it.
If they want to preserve the Republican Party and preserve its dignity, they have to distance themselves from Trump - now. If they don't, it should be over for them. History would not judge them kindly.

You make a good point. But yes of course BLM supporters were doing some of the looting. Some of them being harassed by police etc for years. And taking it out on corporations that are screwing society with low pay. Still doesn’t make it right when you destroy and loot.
I will say it again. This isn't about partisanship. Trump cannot perform his duties as President. The Secretary of Defense and Joint Chiefs are saying that Pence is the one who ordered the National Guard. If Pence is already giving orders that already shows that many in the Administration already recognize that Trump isn't in charge.
I don't think 8 of them will put their names to overthrowing the President. They'll rationalize it one way or another - we can work around him, we just need to get thru 14 days, etc.
