    to be fair the ease they got in - this feels almost fake and only ultimately only really harming to trump

    Trump lies, and this is the end result. His lies are dangerous.

    Furthermore, Trumps supporters in Congress are just as bad. They know what they are doing. But, they do it for personal gain. They are not good Americans. Yes, some people in Congress are bad Americans and are dangerous. It’s shocking that there are people out there that believe these lies.

    Donald Trump is a horrible person. His lies should be enough to put him behind bars.

    My understanding is no as the VP isn't actually in the chain of command. With the chaos going on and reports that Trump couldn't be reached for hours likely Pence just stepped in even if it isn't following protocal.

    If the President could not be reached, isn't he technically incapable of performing his duties in a state of emergency (I guess officially it wasn't a state of emergency)? I would think Pence had legal standing to do what he did if Trump refused to answer the phone. I don't know, seems muddy.
