Electoral college ballots rescued from the Senate floor. If our capable floor staff hadn’t grabbed them, they would have been burned by the mob. https://t.co/2JCauUIlvg

The media will keep promoting Trump's every tweet and statement as long as it helps their ratings. Period. They are 99% motivated by profit.

Today these words from our first President's resignation are very relevant.

"The alternate domination of one faction over another, sharpened by the spirit of revenge, natural to party dissension, which in different ages and countries has perpetrated the most horrid enormities, is itself a frightful despotism. But this leads at length to a more formal and permanent despotism. The disorders and miseries which result gradually incline the minds of men to seek security and repose in the absolute power of an individual; and sooner or later the chief of some prevailing faction, more able or more fortunate than his competitors, turns this disposition to the purposes of his own elevation, on the ruins of public liberty.

Without looking forward to an extremity of this kind (which nevertheless ought not to be entirely out of sight), the common and continual mischiefs of the spirit of party are sufficient to make it the interest and duty of a wise people to discourage and restrain it." George Washington

apart from removing him from office, impeachment will also prevent him from running for POTUS again.

both bode well for the GoP

After today, they might just do it earlier.

Twitter restricts Trump video, citing ‘risk of violence’ - The Verge

In the wake of an unprecedented mob attack on the Capitol building, Twitter has restricted a tweet from President Donald Trump, including its attached video. Users can no longer reply to, like, or retweet the post due to what Twitter is referring to as a “risk of violence.”

“In regard to the ongoing situation in Washington, D.C., we are working proactively to protect the health of the public conversation occurring on the service and will take action on any content that violates the Twitter rules.”

Twitter’s statement continued, “We are also exploring other escalated enforcement actions and will keep the public updated with any significant developments.”

Anybody still in the Capitol building should definitely be arrested.

Not true. One can be pardoned before charges are even brought. Those violating the Military Selective Service Act by draft-evasion acts or omissions committed between August 4, 1964 and March 28, 1973 were all pardoned by Carter in 1977.
