It is part of the nation's history. You are absolutely correct. It was the part of this nation's history where part of the nation wanted enslaving and keeping and human slaves to be legal. It is the part of this nation's history where those that supported it turned traitors to the United States of America and rebelled. It is the part of this nation's history where their treasonous rebellion was put down and they were defeated. Why would anyone want to honor and celebrate that part of this nation's history?

Sir Occam's Razor lays it at the feet of Trump. He fired up the crowd, said "we will never concede," and gee whiz, they tried to actively not concede to the legal processing of electoral votes.
Mitch tried to warn his GOP colleagues not to take it too far. Everyone that stood behind Trump's coup attempt will be blamed for any violent protest or riot or anything from here till 2024. Dems should make them completely own this. This is theirs.
I don’t understand why Biden is asking Trump to do the right thing. He should be asking for the 25th Amendment to be invoked and/or an immediate impeachment/conviction.
Most of these Proud Boys members are back woods rural folk who sleep with their guns and drive pick-ups. And, they are not hard to spot because they share the grunge look.
