What is the real issue with #13? That is the question. And, frankly, Coach likely wants him replaced by players who are good and will play his style.
The start of the season has completely reversed my opinion of Siakam. I don’t even think he’s an All-Star. If he’s your key trade piece, no thinks.
We rarely differ, my friend. But, this move is all important. Siakam as a centerpiece is unacceptable to me. To my way of thinking, he's soft, has a giant contract, and is extremely overrated. This is James Harden! Forget about OG and their picks too. The whole deal is weak. I was under the impression this was old news. Hard pass.
I think many are underestimating Siakam. He scored 20+ points in three of his 5 games. He also shot 40%+ from three in those games. At the end of the day, he's a really versatile big who would fit beautifully next to Wood. Do I prefer him to Simmons? No. To MPJ? Truthfully, no. But he's far from an awful option IMO.
Disagreeing is cool (which proves mine bride is way cool). I like Siakam, believe he’s a player, prideful. Yeppers, this may we’ll be old news, but - - of the presupposed ‘packages’ out there, what’s your preference? Mine is Simmons+, but the 6ers have come out like gangbusters. They’ll fade. Then Brown+ except Danny can’t pull a trigger. I love Miami’s guys, but at the end of the day they’re guys. IMO - at the least PS can be a lot more than a guy. I’d love to be a fly on Silas’ head for his true feelings, Harden and the alternatives. Happy New Year, HEALTH!
Pascal Siakam is making around $30 million a year. The Rockets just need to ignore calls from Toronto. Pascal Siakam Contract is Terrible.
Siakam is a top 5 PF who will settle into about 20+ points a game while shooting the 3 at a reasonable clip. He's not a superstar, but he's absolutely worth the max.
Reminds me of the time our offensive "star" was Trevor Ariza for a minute - it was an ugly moment in Ariza's career because it was a role he was clearly not fit to fill. I think you are right about Siakam - you want him on your team - but not as your #1 guy. That's the problem with all these trade proposals - people want to trade their #2s and #3s for our #1 and think the stats make them equivalent without the context.
Whole Toronto roster wouldnt been enough for Harden. I really do not understand why do we even engage in talks with them, wtf Stone, dont be so Stoned.
