Like the logic and reasoning of these people... Seriously, if the Dems had this power why is the runoff even a thing? They could just manipulate the vote anywhere in any of the races and win and manufacture a 52-48 lead. Why would they manufacture a 50-50 senate when two of their senators, Machin and Sinema, are Democrats in name and hey I appreciate that socially they are liberals but they are otherwise very conservative. Democrats are very bad at manipulating the vote. It's like fixing an NBA game but then stopping with 20 seconds left with the game tied. Democrats won't have any mandate to get many progressive things passed but at the very least the Senate can actually vote and debate on policies again.
Looks like Trump not managing the Covid situation and losing 350k americans, most of which would have voted Trump as they skewed older, then having him mob boss his way on a call - screwed the Senate elections for the GOP.
