    But they're already doing that.

You have to throw out all those fraudulent ballots!

But those same ballots elected a bunch of you Republicans this cycle. Do we throw out the ballots that have votes for you?

No! You see... Just the fraudulent... um... SEGMENT of the ballots that say Joe Biden.

well I heard was Democrats were saying that the early vote was going to go heavily for the Republicans but don't worry.

Fair - the real numbers to look at are counties that are completed with counts, because that covers both in-person and early votes. Those are slightly favoring Dems, so that's good.

But CNN is reporting that of the 49% of the vote in, 90% is early vote and only 10% is in-person voting. That skews the results massively because the remaining 50% is going to skew much more the other way.

Yes, I also think the bad COVID outbreak there will hurt science-fearing Dems more than maskless GOP voters there. But I would be happy to be wrong.

That's not correct at all. That was true in November because the early vote counting rules were the opposite of today. Today, the early count was known to favor Dems beause they were allowed to count absentee/early votes in advance.

90% of the early votes are in, around 72% of the assumed total vote.

This seems to be going more quickly than I expected. Or maybe it's always the last 5% that's so painful. Hanging chads or whatever the 2021 equivalent would be. A ballot that just says MAGA in pig blood, perhaps.

In Georgia in November, they weren't allowed to count early votes (ie, the vast majority of votes) until polls closed. That's why GOP had a massive lead and slowly dwindled over days.

Georgia didn't want that fiasco again so they allowed counting of those votes in advance. So much of the early vote is being reported already instead of waiting a day or two.

Just keep in mind that ABC is nearly Fox-like in how it tries to tell its audience what it wants most to hear. Of the traditional big three, they lean most strongly to the left.

    But... I want to believe.

Case in point - we're now at 55% and the margin already has been halved to 52/48. All the little data points seem to favor Dems slightly, but it's going to probably be a sub-2% margin either way.

People are saying that the democrats senators are out performing Biden are missing the point. The early vote is skewing the numbers right now. I think republicans are taking it :(

No, I don't think they're missing the point. For counties that have fully reported, the Dems are performing slightly better than Biden. They may still lose, because it's going to be very close, but they're correct that it's a good sign in the completed counties (which are all over the state, not just cities or whatever).

That's true when talking about incomplete counties. It's not an issue if you only look at counties that have completed their counting - though those are mostly smaller counties at this point. But yes, his results in Atlanta and the like are irrelevant right now.
