[Throwback]CP3 and Harden slaughter Nuggets(11/22/2017)

Who would have thought watching these highlights, something that would come to mind is that those jerseys are better than the current trash? Lol. We were all so quick to get rid of them, and now they are even worse

 

It was the best Rockets team ever. Easily. It would crush Hakeems rockets ... on paper it was a top 5 team ever

I dunno about you but I play games to win. I watch them to enjoy my team winning. Losing isn’t fun unless you’re the underdog playing a power house and making them sweat. If you’re good and you can’t get to the finals, it hurts and nothing else matters.

 

then it only confirms the fact that regular season is more important than the finals
i want to enjoy my team winning on most of the nights... i can quickly and easily get over a few losses in june

 

I can’t. Then I have to sit for 4 months while the fake sports play until football.

Iunno, I feel liked Harden still plays the same way, just older now. We still Iso'd a lot, but all the pieces just clicked defensively.

Ariza, Tucker, Paul on defense that year was just a insane combination. Harden and Gordon were no slouch either.

 

Great post. Enjoy the games in the moment. It doesn't all have to be about championships. There's so much fun to have, even in a loss.

They had multi-faceted Eric Gordon, the best 3&D players, plus Rim&D players (Capela/Nene), plus 38% 3pt shooter Ryno, mostly in their primes.

Thoroughly enjoy watching all those double digit win streaks

 

when harden, cp3, and capela all played, the rockets were 61-7, and that includes all the way through the end of the playoffs. 58-5 heading into the WCF. an insane 50-3 in the regular season. if that team had the health of the 73-9 warriors, they could have easily been a 70 win team. and then they went up 3-2 on maybe the most talented team ever. in some alternate timeline, cp3 didn't get hurt and that's a top 10 team ever.

league knew the 2018 rockets were for real so much so that they had Scott foster assigned to both game 1 and game 7 of that wcf... both ended in rockets losses

 

the greatest offensive 3 quarters in history by one player. harden with 54 and 13 through 3 quarters on 18/21, 7/7 on 3's, and 11/12 from the line. that's a 104 TS%. 9 of his 13 assists were for 3, and 3 of his 4 two point assists were and-1's (though we missed 2 of the free throws). not only is 90 points created easily the most through 3 quarters, it would be the 3rd most ever in an entire game (behind wilt's 100 point game and harden's 53/16/17 game). all this against the #2 defense of utah with cp3 not playing.
