He’s fully capable of that, if he can stay healthy. But that’s the rub with him. Hope he can manage it, because he’s a fun player to watch.

    What is this? lol.

Klay and Draymond were drafted. KD only came to GS because it was literally the easiest path to multiple titles. It's not like Klay, Draymond and KD all joined GS because Curry has a warm and fuzzy personality.

Fair point. You poll other star players, especially perimeter players, and I think Curry would certainly be a more attractive teammate.

Didn't Corey Brewer drop 50 once?

We should have handed the keys to Corey Brewer. And he should have retired a Rocket.

Would they (Klay and Dray) shine as much if they were next to a ball dominant Harden?

Donatas Motiejunas should have retired as a Rocket.

Durant said out of his own mouth it was the combination of Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, Draymond Green and Andre Iguodala and when they all came to his door at his house in the Hamptons to sell him on coming to the Warriors. Not just Steph. That's where the Hamptons 5 nickname came from.

Free Agents would want to play with Harden, Klay, Draymond, and Iggy. The whole Harden being ball dominate thing didn't become a thing until D'Antoni came. Harden's usage before D'Antoni was lower than Curry's during the 72-10 year.

I don't see how that's possible. His team fits poorly with his skillset.

    Probably.

Klay was drafted in 2011 and Draymond in 2012. Harden came in 2012.

Assuming everything lined up, Harden would have developed with Klay and Draymond. Harden probably wouldn't be so ball dominant and Klay and Dray might have different offensive games, because they would have developed differently.

Even with the Harden we know, putting Klay and Dray alongside Harden + 2 scrubs in the starting 5 would be a championship contender.

I disagree. I think Draymond Green's offensive game would've been significantly handicapped by Harden, and I also think that Harden/Green would've feuded (for obvious reasons).

There's the rub. I doubt it. The Warriors were like a fine dessert. You mess with one ingredient in any way and you ruin it.

harden scooped gerald green and ben mclemore off the nba trash heap and made them look like solid role players by just bombing a 3 every time they got a decent look. i'm going to say "2nd greatest shooter ever" klay thompson might have found a role here.

are you under the impression that the rockets have a great offense every year because harden doesn't make people shine?

Klay Thompson would've flourished on any team. But what about Draymond Green? That's the interesting question.

Yeah Curry and Klay are essentially as easy as it gets when it comes to fit for anyone that plays on ball. I'm sure Harden would love to play with them too because he can still have the ball in his hands all the time.

Klay wouldn't have been so broken down playing alongside Harden because he wouldn't be forced to create as much, while still being as formidable an offensive threat.

It wouldn't be an issue at all. The reality is, Harden doesn't play 48 minutes, neither does he handle the ball on every possession if he doesn't have to. He actually takes a lot of breaks and lets CP3, Russ, and now Wall handle the entire offense. Not sure why he wouldn't just let Draymond run some high post plays when he gets tired. You always need versatility on the team.

The Golden State offense actually looked mediocre at times when we switched everything, so they reverted back to Durant Iso's and Curry PnR in 2018 and 2019 to beat us in the playoffs.

Because Draymond Green is offensively handicapped. He excelled when he had Curry/Thompson. Do you remember how he looked last year?
