He did Hakeem do to deserve the treatment he is getting in here. Replace Hakeem with Wilt or Jordan. If the statement seems absurd, it probably is.

It is absurd because Wood is a totally different player than Hakeem, not one iota resemblance other than being a big man and being versatile on Offense.

Hakeem dominated another MVP in his own right, the Admiral Robinson.

Great battle with a Top 6 Guy of Alltime - The Big Aristotle in younger days.

Maybe at the end of his career, people say he is close to Hakeem, but 99.99% odds he won't be.

Not sure why we're wasting brain cells on this assertion. It's ridiculous.

Wood has been a pleasant surprise and let's see how he develops as a Rocket and not make crazy comparisons. He has some similar skills to certain players, but we're 4 games into a new season and his 20 games from last year do show us some great promise, but there is only one Dream.

Y’all are disrespecting Clint lol. That 2017-18 team wouldn’t have made it as far with Wood and his non defense. Basketball is more than offense. Clint was our rim protector and was excellent in our switch scheme. He was huge part of why we won 60 games and had an elite defense.

Yeah, his facial textures, there are similarities.

Dream would never have this ugly patch.

he is benefitting greatly from our five out system, and playing with other great players, which gives him space. No doubt he’s a very good offensive player, but there will never be another dream . I’d be content with wood even having a consistent post game like lamarcus Aldridge on single coverage, and improving his three point stroke.

I think he can reach the all star level, but I don’t ever see him being a superstar like Hakeem or harden.

    WOF WOF

Why do people try to compare modern big men to Hakeem when none of them have a similar game?

Hakeem played witch is back to the basket mainly, Wood plays facing the basket and still is more of a PNR type center. Different eras, different body types, and different games.

I don't get the need to compare to Hakeem. He won't be the next Hakeem. His game is more similar to AD than anyone else.

Wood is more Yao than Hakeem. Hakeem was one fo the best defenders in the history of basketball.

Dream was a ballerina. So fluid and graceful on offense and then he would unleash the power on defense. every once in a while he would let the anger win over and he would scorch the earth like a pillaging war monger.

Christian Wood is a nice player. Seems pretty chill.

You don’t know the half of it. The guy needs help. Someone needs to reach out to his family and/or friends.
