Let's slow down, here. Let's give it mid-season, now. If he's averaging 22+ per game, 10 rebs, 2 blks, and above average defense. I'd say slightly, but this is a knee-jerker.
Lol if Wood can be No 1 option and can drag a team to a championship with shooters by himself. Spiritually nobody came close. Good night, have a good dream! Pun intended.
More like if he is made No 1 option. 25 ppg 14 boards, 4-5 bpg, 3 steals, 5 apg. Now at least statwise he is close. That'd be rarefied air.
I don't agree that he'll be in Olajuwon's tier, but I don't fault anyone for being excited about what they've seen in the last few games. We haven't seen this sort of talent and skill out of a Rocket big man since pre-injury Yao over a decade ago.
The Denver game has murdered his rebounding avg Minus that game he has averaged over 13. When have you seen a 25-13. The 3 rebound game is anomaly. @Clutch @durvasa
I share your enthusiasm for CW -- I'm planning to buy his jersey. But... 25 was a lot for Dream? For 11 regular seasons (not just his prime, during which he averaged over 25 a game for 4 seasons), but from '85-86 to '95-96, his average scoring was 24.63 pts/gm. 818 games, 20,148 points. 26.6 a game for the Rox in the playoffs over his career. 25 a game over 4 games is nice though lol. But no, 25 wasn't a lot for Dream, it was very average. Sadly, being able to formulate sentences using words we may like very much, and which may sound very nice together, still doesn't make them true, lol. I say sadly because I love to hear what I think about things as much as anyone does, probably... Much love anyway, pgabriel, and I'm right with you on CW otherwise
