[OFFICIAL] Russell Westbrook as a Washington Wizard

Now that the Rockets won a game, we can enjoy Russ and the Wizards losing.

 

But...but..but...triple doubles though!

 

Still amazes me how you can have his statline but you’re a negative to your team.

He didn’t even shoot poorly from 3. But the only Wiz starter with a negative +/-. He must be an absolute sieve on defense.

People here acting like he is the reason for the loss check out Bertans. Literally Ryan Anderson 2.0 except you dont even get the honeymoon period where he was semi decent he just sucked from the moment he signed that big ass contract lol

Going into tonight Westbrook was rocking a negative WS/48

What level you’d like to assign to Westbrook for their losing is up for debate, but he’s absolutely a part of it.

And if we are doing the math, a player with that high of usage, shot volume and minutes played producing NEGATIVE wins sounds like a pretty big reason for their losing.

 

Wow so Westbrook is averaging a triple double (20p/13r/12a), but only 15.7 PER. That's impressive (unironically!).

 

Wizards are 0-5 they have no wins so dont you think it'd be weird if somebody on the Wiz had a positive win shares/48?

I'm not saying WB is da nuts obv he has been chucking and missing like tom but even with all that he helped the Wiz more than he has hurt them since they are in the East. They've had a creampuff schedule so far and faced the Bulls twice so tbh WB's chucking and below average D isnt that bad since they face garbage opponents. Their losses are primarily due to Bertans and their 0 depth I mean Ish Smith is a vital part of their rotation.

WB shot 60% from 3, 44% from the field you cant look at that and blame him when Bertans missed all his shots, had a total of 3 pts and was -18 for the night. Ish Smith had 0 pts. They lost by 3. Seriously WB isnt to blame here.

 

It takes having him on your team to figure it out quickly, if then. And apparently, there are still those in the league that haven't (Washington).

 

Wizards next 7 games - @ MIN, @BKN, @PHI, @ BOS, MIA, PHX, UTA. uh oh

when you are in the hole like this its the hardest to get a win.

somebody might get fired.

Prior to last night the Rockets were 0-2 and Harden was 2nd in the entire league in WS/48

Your team doesn’t have to win for you to be measured as a positive impact by the stat.

Only 5 players who have gotten minutes for WAS have a negative WS/48. Westbrook is one of them and it shouldn’t be a surprise to anyone.

Westbrook still fooling some of y’all with his flashy box score numbers.

 

Westbrook leads the league in defensive rebounding, so he can't possibly be bad.

It was almost worth the disaster of getting him just so I can fully appreciate not having him anymore.

 

that means he leaves his man and hunts for rebounds while his teammates box out for him

 

i feel bad for rui and that rookie from israel they picked up. Sabonis, and oladipo couldnt flourish next to westbrick either. They were called scrubs in okc, as soon as they left okc and joined the pacers they became all stars lol
