I don't think it's a horrible fit. Wall pushes tempo better than Harden and is a much better decision maker than Westbrook. But Wall does need to work on his three ball, Sacramento was sagging off of him all night long. If John can shoot the three at around 35% or higher that would really help us so much.

Just being at full strength seemed enough to get the win. This team is going to mow lawns. They gotta tighten the screws on defense now.

Or you should rewind the tape from the point when the Rox was up by 10 late in the third and how this team turned over the ball one after another and how Cousins keep throwing the ball to his old team and how bad the offense was once Harden took a rest and how bad the defense was and just think about this simple fact :

without harden and tucker working so hard in the forth, will this team lose by double digits?

This was literally their first game together. New coaches. New strategies. New covid protocols.

I think they did fine. Its going to take time.

The rust was clearly there (as was the lack of cohesiveness) but watching the whole game I felt that the body language was good throughout and there was plenty of communication on the court.

I think we can give Wall and Cousins a little more time before judging how good they’ll be in a Rockets uniform, though I think Wall was clearly more adjusted to the offense than Cousins today. Both haven’t played a serious game in a looooooong time.

Tate has clearly won his teammates’ respect. I know a lot of people were high on him coming into the season, and he’s been living up to expectations so far! This Kings team has been pretty good, so overall this win is solid.

p.s. James Harden is a ****ing assassin, man.

cousins looks like he'll be glued to the bench a lot this year. post game aint good enough. defense is bad. he'll only play in certain matchups....

looks like tate will get a lot of his minutes instead. in fact i think tate is gonna replace house after we trade him. he's good, but not starter material.

sterling brown looks good. good for 10-15 minutes a game.

gordon looks back to his normal self. i think he's a keeper

its gonna be a sad day when harden is gone. you just can't replace him. no matter what.

I'd have been a LOT happier if Wall had taken about 4 fewer awful shots, but so long as he works on it and starts to cut that BS out, I'm happy with what he brought to the table, still better than Westbrook.

What’s up with Nwaba? Coaches decision DNP? He looked great in the first couple of games.

Not saying that Harden still does not want to be traded but I did notice that Harden was very engaged tonight with the team. His energy level was very high today...

    We'll see...maybe, if Harden isn't traded...

But Wall just has a diff mentality than Russ. Russ is always playing with a chip on his shoulder so when teams leave him open he wants to prove they made a mistake. You can see it with how he celebrates and trash talks. He's always trying to prove himself every night and it works as far as energy and hustle.

Wall? It's no thing for him. They leave him open and he's fine with making a play. They left him open tonight, at first he took the shots as he should. There is an interview with CP3 talking about Dort, the smartest BBIQ guy in the world...what CP3 was telling Dort? Keep shooting the ball.

My guess is Wall will have plenty of 3PAs because he wants to see if he's hot, even bad shooters can get hot on a night...

But later in the game you saw he completely deferred, no problems, no issues, and when they left him open he passed it off or tried to create.

Leaving a bad shooter (creating PG) works only if the guy takes the shot. Players like Rondo and Kidd made a career off of showing it's not the end of the world.

It worked against Russ because he did what the defense wanted him to do...shoot. If he attacked we would have gotten much better possessions.
