I do not. Harden is arguably the best player in the world. Tatum while very very good isn’t even close to Harden level.

Just based on your last sentence I know you have not watched a Rockets game since 2015.

40-12-5 has him top 2 .. last season he finished as one of the top three players in the nba. After Giannis and James in the MVP final vote. You forgot that? So the notion he maybe a top 5 player is garbage. He is a top 5 player period.

    James
    Harden
    Durant
    Giannis
    Davis

In no particular order right now

it’s not about whose better....harden is. It’s about contract, age, etc. harden is the better play but only certain teams are going to bid for his service with 2 years left and also being 31.

Tatum is 22 has 5 years on his deal. There’d be a league wide bidding war.

Side note: How the **** did this dude from the Bucks get an MVP trophy over Harden? Seriously blows my mind.

    Playoff play is more important.
Leonard & Durant straight away are put above him.
James Leonard Durant are above him.
Harden is fighting for 4th & 5th with Antekoumpo Jokic Davis Curry

Same Kawhi who **** the bed against the nuggets? Harden had a better series against the Lakers then what Kawhi had against the nuggets

I don’t give a rats ass what Woj says. James Harden is not going anywhere anytime soon

James Harden is a virtual lock for the playoffs just himself. Tatum isn’t even close to that type of player yet. Harden on your team especially as a contender locks you into a shot at the title. Teams will bank on that. Unless The Rockets mess it up Harden will command the biggest haul in NBA history. I keep hearing a lot about his age like people think his game is built on athleticism. His game will age very very well he will still be elite at 35 years old. And having 2 years of him on a contract still is a big plus.

    Kawhi has 2 FMVPs
Plus most people don't blame Kawhi.
George Harrell shat the bed that series.

Really Kawhi didn’t have a horrible finish to the game seven in that series especially in the last quarter of that epic collapse? He wasn’t blameless

you’re making this Tatum vs harden the player or about career accolades. It’s not. At all. It would even be close tbh. There will be 6-7 teams going for harden and about 4 he’s serious about staying with. there’d be about 15 going for Tatum.

he’s young enough to build around over a few years and good enough to win now.

I’m gonna call it right now. James Harden wins the next two NBA championships and then gets traded to the Toronto Raptors

that’s not the goal. But I also won’t settle.

My guess is there are like 15 players off limits in a Harden deal.

    Tre Young
    Tatum
    Durant
    Butler
    Giannis
    Luka
    Jokic
    Curry
    Lebron
    AD
    Morant
    Zion
    Booker
    Mitchell

Off limits because either they are a superstar or look like they are going to be a superstar...not necessarily because they are better than Harden.

It’s the next rung I’m interested in...Murray, Bam, Ingram. Young guys on max deals that MIGHT become superstars, but whose current trajectory leaves them a little short. One of those guys, plus other picks and prospects, gets the deal done.

    Harden/Jokic
    Harden/Butler
    Harden/Zion

in each case, these teams get the required 2nd superstar to make a title run. The only team that had 2 of these last year was the Lakers.

NONE of them are sending equal value back for Harden, because they aren’t sending us a superstar or a player that is likely to become one.

    He was partly to blame.
    And it hurts his legacy.

But he has 2xFMVPs (Really 1 true.)

He's not a guy who goes for regular season MVP like Harden is.

He has produced regularly in the playoffs. More than Harden has.

Nobody argues Harden is the best player in the world.
He needs to prove that in the playoffs.
When people bring their A game.
