I watched the Celtics v Pacers game tonight to see what the big deal about Brown is. Noway this guy is worth Harden. Not even remotely close to equal value.
Only guy on that team is close to value is Tatum and they have him off limits. Stone needs to hang up the phone on Ainge

I mean you watched 1 game. He’s been better than Tatum by far through the 1st 3 games

 

If you’re goal is to get equal value in a harden trade, good luck. It’ll never happen. Rockets know that. He’s a generational talent

 

He is nowhere near Tatum. That kid is a stud. Brown is a very good role player on a championship squad.

 

saying he’s not Tatum isn’t a knock on him. Tatum just averaged 26 10 5 in the playoffs

 

Again brown would be a great role player on a championship type team. He is not going to be a center piece of a championship squad.Unless Ainge attaches the farm with picks and a third team with other assets yeah no. Harden is arguably the best player in the league right now with the joker from Denver.

 

hes a perennial all star caliber player....you’re looking at the harden trade all wrong if you think you’re gonna get either equal value or 100% center piece of a championship squad. You’re gonna get a player back with all star upside and or has been an all nba player but how good they get is tbd.
No one even knows if Simmons can be the centerpiece on a champion or mpj or herro or brown.

In the league Tatum has more value than Harden. Predominantly due to his age & years on contract.
And due to higher marketability.

Plus you're comparing a possible top 5 player to a possible top 10 player, who's 10 years younger.

 

Tatum does not have more value than Harden right now. Higher marketability? James has one of the most lucrative endorsements in the league with Adidas. Not to mention Troli and Body Armor. And Harden isn’t just top 5 he’s top 2 MAX.

 

The ship on Simmons has sailed. I want no part of him. As for Harden, I think the longer this goes and more absurdly good numbers he puts up the better his value will get. In two months teams will be more inclined to offer better assets.

 

Right now harden and Jokic are the best two players in basketball

James Durant Leonard

He's on the same tier as Antekoumpo Jokic Davis Curry.

Right now he is playing better then all of them. We are going by current play. Leonard? Yeah no

 

it’ll always come back to Philly, Denver, Miami, Boston. Very few teams can trade for him still contend and still have a place where he’ll stay. Maybe those teams increase their offers or maybe a dark horse ala Toronto or someone else comes in but ultimately I believe we already know which of the 5 teams harden will be on already.

 

if Tatum was on the market right now you really don’t think the Celtics could get a better return than what the rockets will get for harden?

 

I disagree. He’s top 2. The case can easily be made for a 1. Lebron is the only guy who can do what Harden does as a complete package.

Plus Harden hasn't been top 2. His defence has been atrocious.
