I know that the Rockets interest in Porter is genuine so I would but him second.

I don't know their degree of interest in Brown or Herro.

I would think they would value Brown more than Herro as he is a vastly better player at this point. However keep in mind that the appeal of Miami for the Rockets is that they can get expiring contracts back and Herro is on a rookie deal.

Personally I think the Sixers, Nuggets, Celtics, Raptors, Heat and are all interested.

I think the Sixers, Nuggets and Celtics are the most likely matches in a trade.

Yes, I think we can draw some conclusions based on two games when it comes to certain flaws or limitations.

I agree with you that against some teams it will not matter, as they do not have the players to punish the Rockets inside. However, the Lakers, Nuggets and to a lesser extent Blazers all have the type of size inside that will cause issues and we will see at least one or two of these teams in the playoffs.

Wood is adept at switching and he can defensively be a problem for players that do not have bulk or high skills in the post. The Rockets will work on tightening up some of the issues on the defensive end, and there are some things they can for example work on preventing the ball from getting to the post through steals, forced turnovers and transition. Those can all marginally help the issue.

However at the end of the day, Tucker is not a good match with Wood and the Rockets lack a true long small forward to help either. Some of the issue is Wood and some of it is the personnel.

Silas really values size inside on defense, and Weaver has been a big proponent of drop two everywhere he has been and typically he has relied upon the deep drop and not the aggressive drop. I have some concerns about how well that will work.

I agree with you that the match up will make a huge difference.

Last year before the pandemic I said that in the Western Conference seeding match ups would matter a whole lot because every good team in the league is vulnerable against a bad matchup. There are not matchup busting dynasty teams and I still think that is true.

Against 75% of the league the bulk issues and even some of the concentration lapses will not matter a whole lot, it is more of a concern in the playoffs.

Yes, the Celtics and Rockets have spoken several times.

If the Celtics do not end up with Harden there will be spin that they never really wanted him....... the reality is the Celtics do want him, it is just a matter of whether a deal can be reached.

Every team with depth and assets that is a genuine contender should be interested in Harden. The only reason Harden isn't a bigger deal is because he has only been in a position to win a title one time and Paul got hurt. If Harden played with the Lakers or the Warriors he would be considered an all time great.... he is that type of talent, and right now is at the peak of his game.

From a basketball stand point I would like to see Harden in Boston or Denver.

personally, I just don’t think they want browns name floated publicly even though it’s easy and the only way to connect the dots to harden for Boston.

what’s the hold up in your opinion the picks? Or Boston’s avoidance of adding in another quality piece like smart? Or waiting on Simmons or another team?

This is absolutely what Tilman should do. Exhaust every measure to *rebuild trust* that Harden lost in management. The roster looks good right now. Silas looks good right now. So Harden could look at that and perhaps begin to trust Stone. Tilman spending into the LT would help.

Cutting off your nose to spite your face with a generational talent is just dumb AF. Tilman needs to figure this out.

Any possibility of Tilman going to Harden with an apology and an olive branch, or is he THAT much of an egomaniacal ******* that he's willing to destroy his crown jewel in order to maintain some semblance of control??

Absolutely one of the best post out of the hundreds on this topic.
If the answer is "no" than it makes no difference and then only blind luck in the draft will make us contenders till Tillman is gone.

Harden is staying this year. Time to let this trade narrative die.

Harden averaging a ho-hum 39 and 13 to start the season

whatever personal trainers he was using in Atlanta and Vegas, he needs to share them with the rest of the squad

So you just got into your feelings about Harden because of CP3 a guy that was only here for 2 years?

And you admonish people for "worshiping" Harden?

    That makes perfect sense.

Nobody really knows what is being offered for Harden.

    These "reports" are not credible.

You act like he can't get that 50 million other places.

Or that he has not already made half a billion.

If he really wants to be traded, he should be lowering his value not the opposite
