He certainly didn't handle it any better when he played against Denver last season, he got absolutely worked.

When you are going against a team with 2 really large big men at center and you are rolling with an undersized center that is really a PF and the shell of the player that used to be PJ Tucker as your frontcourt, you are going to get worked. That's true if that guy is Wood or Covington. It's simply asking too much.

If the Rockets had their full roster, they'd have been able to throw Boogie out there to add a ton of size....or if Morey wasn't a moron last year, you'd still have Hartenstein.

Wood will be fine when not going against the worst possible matchup and he'll have help when the team is at full strength.

In thinking they should start Cousins next to Wood.

Would love to get Randle (Tucker) and Knox (House) for this very reason. Of course, my main prize will remain Jaylen Brown until further notice.

Nwabi - Tate - should replace majority of House and Tucker Minutes with Brown sprinkled in ... they rest should not see court outside of garbage time

One thing I can agree with everyone here:

Danuel House sucks big time. I would rather have Tate over him.

Did Tilman Jr gave the list of questions allowed to all these beat writers?

Those questions are softer than Charmin.

Too many minutes for him right now, with a Tucker trade at the deadline, perhaps...

His role is too big for him.

Spot up shooter and defender, check.

    Playmaker.

    No fvkkin way.

Doesn’t matter if Harden leaves this team goes backwards it doesn’t matter what your starting line up is.

Wood wasn’t in the right place a number of times tonight.

Some of it is that Denver is really big and strong and not a good match up for Wood.

Some of it is that because of the pandemic and shortened camp Wood hasn’t had a chance to really get used to what he is supposed to do.

Some of it is that Wood has focus issues and Harden is pissed that the second best player on the roster is a flake and that isn’t something he should have to deal with.

Silas will do what he can but it will become sink or swim, the last 2.5 quarters Wood wasn’t very good at all.

Rockets need to trade him, Clemons and Ego for Aaron Gordon.

    YESTERDAY.

Hold Tucker until trade deadline if necessary for a 3-D wing.

THE problem is the defensive system.

When you have this many players unable to execute the system, the system is the main culprit.

Harden, EGo, Tucker, House, Bruno were all MUCH better defenders LAST SEASON.

Especially in the bubble just a few months ago.

    Silas must fix this shet.

Silas is learning why MDA did some of the things he did.

Morey wanted House as a secondary creator. MDA tried it and House failed at it.

House has too many issues, he needs to defend and hit open 3’s... if they want him to expand his game, have him work a little on the boards. Although he has short arms, he has some aptitude at rebounding.

This is the hard part... because Silas and Weaver would likely counter that the team has only had a handful of practices and it isn’t fair to expect it to work under the circumstances.... a skeptic would say how long do you struggle to get the team used to the system with Harden losing patience and a shortened season.

I hope Silas also understands why MDA did not play Bruno as a drop coverage 5 as well.

He is better as a switch everything 4.

Yup, exactly why Mike did this stuff. Honestly....what do you see as the ceiling of this team?
