    thank u my brother

one thing I’ve seen quite a few Sixers fans acknowledge is that Embiid is probably on borrowed time with his questionable health

in that case, their window to win a title is really these next 2-3 years...yeah, it’s cute to fantasize about some 8-10 year window of possible contention because Simmons is only 24, but Embiid is turning 27 in March and is thought to be on borrowed time already, and Simmons will never be able to even hold Harden’s jockstrap, especially with that enormous flaw of his...so really, a team led by Harden and Embiid could be their best shot by far if they’re really serious about winning a title

they’ve been desperate for a high scoring guard that can shoot for years...it’s why they did all they could to get Markelle Fultz...Harden is the best scoring guard in the league by far, and he can shoot the rock and facilitate at a high level...he can give u just as many assists as Ben, and double the points...u won’t need Embiid to spend so many portions of the game hanging out on the perimeter to be a floor spacer for Ben Simmons

The George trade was a 2 for 1 trade. They got George and Kawhi for that package.

I don't know why we gave up so much for Westbrook. Stone negotiated that deal. Probably felt bad for raping OKC the first time around.

Ben Simmons averages 15, 8, and 7 in the playoffs and took just 5 shots in game 7 against Toronto

Ben Simmons didn’t even play in last year’s postseason because he was injured

True... remember the year they gave JJ Reddick 20 something million? Year after year Philly is still chasing the same thing... shooting

And we were chasing defense, shooting and playmaking to put next to Harden......

    Very view teams are complete.

After James’ current antics, I would refuse to send him to the 76ers. I don’t think Simmons is great anyway, but I’d love to make another team in the East better just to give Morey the bird as he wallows in his perpetual early postseason exits.

Ahh, I didn’t dig far enough. I knew that looked a bit outta whack with so many FRPs. Thanks for the clarification.

Just to clarify, when I said 2 for 1, I meant Kawhi told Clippers he would sign as a FA with them if they could bring in X,Y, or Z player. PG was one of those players, so the Thunder had all the leverage since Kawhi was waiting to sign and wasn't going to wait forever.

The thing is with james pulling this stunt, it may lower his value to the point simmons isnt even on the table. It would be tobias harris. He has truly put us in a bad position. I cant believe he is going out like this

here’s some of the latest from Philly fans

“Ben Simmons' complete and utter lack of development offensively should be the biggest reason to make this deal. He'll always be good, but I don't know how anyone could have confidence that one day he'll do x, y, or z on offense when he's shown no advancements there to this point. None.”

“I wanted Harden before these first 3 games. Now I want him even more.”

“Not saying Ben is a bad player or anything because he isn’t, but the fact that we could in theory even get Harden for him is a miracle. You are never, ever winning a championship if Ben Simmons is your second best player.”

“Harden looked dominant in PDX and was just flat out dishing to Wood. It was silly, he made it look so easy. He was hitting shots fine too, like he hadn't missed a day. I don't know why HOU would want Simmons, to be honest. Wall is the PG and Simmons can't shoot off ball.”

“Embiid will be 27 in 3 months. The next 2-3 years are going to be his peak years and no one knows if/when they will be cut short by an injury. This is not the time to get cute and hope to trade Harris for a star or try to trade him for expirings at some point and then hope to get a superstar free agent.

If Harden can be had for a reasonable price (~Simmons) then do the trade sooner rather than later because the team will need to build some chemistry and additional moves will be needed. The point of the process was to build a contender not another treadmill team.”

“I was pretty confident with our soft opening schedule we’d get out to a solid start which could delay and possible deal. Am I a bad fan to hope we do poorly though to increase harden odds? This is starting to look like a trade deadline type deal if anything at all”

“The drubbing we took at the hands of the Cavs last night has really spoken to me. Normally I chalk it up to an overreaction on my part, but this is the reality of it. Oh....and yeah, I know it's early, but we've led this horse to water in every possible way and it still isn't drinking.

So, as Embiid goes, so goes the Sixers. It is all on him! There is nobody else on this team that is going to take the pressure off of him. As much as I love Ben Simmons, it just doesn't seem to be in his DNA to lead or take over when necessary. He's a great player mind you....A 6'10 Jason Kidd so to speak and if he ever trusts a three pointer, then look out! You can build a winning team around him. With that said, it gets more and more frustrating watching him with every game played at this point. If Embiid wasn't going to play last night...Then fine! It was up to Ben Simmons to carry us. He should have been able to do that! Great players do those things! Great teams don't mess around! As painful as it is for me to say this, as much as I don't want to admit it, as much as I dislike James Harden! Had he been on our roster as opposed to Simmons last night... We would have confidently rested Joel Embiid and breezed right through Cleveland with Harden in control. I can't believe i'm finally saying this as I have been a staunch Simmons supporter in this forum! But if we can trade Ben Simmons for James Harden, we damn well better do it! We need a consistent perimeter player that can get it done night in and night out. Harden might be the most gifted offensive player I have ever watched aside from Michael Jordan. Can you imagine this offense with Harden as the point guard?????

At this point...If we ever want to win a ring...This will need to happen. It will take acquiring a player of Hardens skill set to do this. Tobias simply isn't getting it done. It's early, sure, but the inconsistencies are there. Even a player like himself might actually benefit from Harden being here!
Shake... is a sixth man off the bench. An overachiever, but there's a reason he was drafted in the later parts of the draft. He can score, but again...there is some inconsistency with him and I hate it! He was also a player, last night, that I fully expected to step up and he just never got it going. He'd be better starting in my opinion, but Doc has his mind made up and that's fine. Maxey...Is a rookie who is going to be wildly inconsistent and hit or miss most nights. In other words, they can't or aren't ready to be counted on the way a player like James Harden would be. The hope would be that they could compensate for lack of an "off the dribble" type of offensive player, and they probably can at times, but not to the extent that we would need in a playoff setting.”

They’re just regurgitating what the majority of CF’s see’s/feels about trading Harden for Simmons. To put it simply, it would be an asinine move! There’s no way Simmons miraculously starts being a decent shooter! Instead of him being our alpha dog he would really be our weakest link in our offense!

I truly hate the predicament Harden has put our team in... but honestly, I don’t want to trade him! I’m still hoping he wakes up and sees that this team, with all the new players (and better coaching) can go deep into the playoffs and with a bit of luck, win it all!!

    I digress....:(

    Go Rockets!!!

Trade details have changed Daryl - its Wall for Simmons now.

Take it or it could be EGo for Simmons next week.

The only way I could possibly like a Simmons trade is if we get every 1st they got and every swap in-between for the next decade.

Oh wait, now I am the one being delusional :(

Seriously, Philly doesn't have cr@p that we want. A better player in return would make the ask on picks reasonable (maybe).

What where these fans looking at before Saturday? Harden’s been doing this for years. I’m guessing nobody’s actually watched him play but ESPN ***** on him enough that they think they know his game.

Seriously. Harden has been averaging close to 36 pts per game last couple of years with multiple 50/60 pts games here and there. Now after one 44 pts games these idiots suddenly realize Harden is an offensive genius? Really?

Now diverting Simmons somewhere else could be an option. For example, would Minnesota want him for say Anthony Edwards? Just a thought.

Ah, ah ah, revisionist history. Morey was still GM when we gave up the future for Westbrook. Rockets as a organization did it at the DEMAND of Tilman. Stone was along for the ride but didn't hesitate to trade Trashbrook when Tilman found out what we already knew. Instead running like Morey.
