That team is fundamentally flawed, both Doc and Morey know it. Simmons and Embiid will never win anything together, the spacing just doesn’t work. and it’s due to Simmons game, not Embiids. You can’t have a dominant ball handler who is unable to score outside of the restricted area. It makes the game incredibly difficult. Simmons has to take a different role, as a center who sits under the rim, who’s plays next to a primary ball handler. He has to play like Adebayo. He can be a secondary ball handler who makes plays in the following mf situations - on the fast break, on the low post, or against bench units surrounded by shooters. You cannot finish a game with a primary ball handler who has zero range, teams are too good for that, it’s too easy to disrupt. Simmons will be traded in the next year or two regardless if Harden goes to Philly. Simmons honeymoon phase is coming to an end, he didn’t improve his shot (at all) enough to become a primary ball handler, he has to reshape his role now, and that role will never fit with Embiid
Simmons and Embid are both kind of dumb asses. Howard is definitely a moron so I am sure that will work out well. If the Rockets end up with Simmons I will support them and hope they make it work. He just strikes me as a major emotional midget.
He acts he dont want to put Simmons on the table while nobody wants him. Stone should put out news that Rockets wont be adding Ben McLemore in trade packages with Harden.. let them know we play hardball lol
