Gerald Green! I was one of the first to bring up Christian Woods. You can thank me later....Now, for the Rockets to truly put themselves in the upper teir, i.e, NJ and the LAs....The Rockets need G.G!

I think this roster has everything as constructed, outside of that player that can come in off the bench, other than EG and give you a quick 12 - 15 points! You need that shooter! McClemore is solid but GG is elite at giving you that PUNCH off the bench, a player who can knock down 3-4 3's in a matter of a minute......we missed it last yr.

    GET' ER DONE STONE!

Rockets are hard capped. Rockets are $1.1M below hard cap. Gerald Green costs $1.6M or so.

No matter how much we want Gerald Green back, we can't sign him until his prorated amount fits within that hard cap difference. You could always make a trade as well to get further under to fit his salary.

Yes, the majority us want Gerald Green back.

I know the salary cap is a stumbling block right now and if we had a full arsenal we win last nights game but GG sets us apart from the Portlands, Denvers, etc

Are they hard-capped because they S&T'd for Christian Wood while being over the cap?

You need to get on the phone with the front office immediately and DEMAND a finders fee. They could have never done it without you. How ever would they have had scouting reports on an NBA player had you not mentioned it on a fan forum?

Green can play later in the season, once his salary fits under the pro-rated cap. Love the guy, hope he gets a deal

But... I dunno if he is the answer to any particular question??

I don't think GG sets us apart from those team. He is a situational player that is very streaky and doesn't always make the best decisions defensively on the court. He plays with a ton of heart to make up for some of his low bball IQ plays, but I doubt he would be more than an 11th or 12th man.

Not trying to nitpick, but is there are a large contingent of this board who think the man’s name is Christian Wood(s)?

I think Gerald is better than Ben Mac. Ben's defense is AWFUL. Gerald is at least OK.

Gerald Green is terrible. Low IQ, fading athleticism, horrible shot selections with streaky shooting.

Horrific lateral defense and not strong at all so gets bumped out of position on drives.

Gerald Green was a complete disaster in the 2019 playoffs. He’s a large reason why they lost game 1 and game 6 against GS. Unforgivably trash player that had way too long of a leash because of D’Antoni.

Now that I’m typing it, this forum is so dumb for trashing House for ONE bad RS game but letting Gerald Green kill Houston constantly against Utah and GS in 2019 and wanting him back.
    Dummies.

edit: an old idiot. exactly what any NBA team needs

I don't agree with that. Ben's defense is awful, but so is Gerald's. Ben on rare occasions has played average defense for short periods in the regular season.

I’m sorry, but Ben Mac’s shot is way more consistent. GG is representing and can fly with the best of them but is is streaky with his shot. Just my opinion

Its been a while since I've seen GG play so you might be right. Rose tinted glasses and all. I just don't remember him being an atrociously bad defender.

I was just talking about defense. There is no doubt that Ben Mac's shot is way more consistent.

GG and BMac are specialists and rotation pieces.

Rockets need an upgrade in starting 5.

    Starting 4/backup PG/small ball 5 = AG
