so maybe I misunderstood, but Chris pine was inhabiting some random dudes body right? Essentially thats murder. WW was totally ok with this as long as she got her man back?

Just started it. Dont know if you know, but I just saw his name as a producer of this film. It already ruined it for me. LOL. CGI looks terrible already per usual for him.

Opening act was excellent, but the rest of the movie nearly a total letdown. So, so disappointing considering how great the first film was. What's odd is that Patty Jenkins didn't get to go with her original, simpler ending for the first film but rather the studio's preferred excessive and cheesy climactic fight. Yet almost the entirety of WW84 is over-the-top like the final act of the first movie.

So many things wrong with this one. What a shame.

The invisible jet is how I remember wonderwoman from my childhood on the cartoon networks.

Other than Gadot, I was not entertained. I could watch a Hallmark network release if it started Gal. My favorite part was Chris Pine falling in love with the Nike Jennaaaays.

This movie reminded me of the Superman returns attempt (Brandon Routh)

-tried to have a more personal story (love)
-De powered the main hero until the end
-Not many action scenes. The final climax...was a snooze fest. The fight between cheetah and Wonder Woman, then the final showdown with Maxwell Lord..that lasso...I thought she was a cowgirl, just need the cowgirl hat.

All Producers/writes of “fan themes” need to watch a TV series called Mandalorian and watch how fan service is done.

It was kind of boring and long as ****. Gal Gadot is great as wonder woman so they should continue with a third. Just write a better script.

Given the massive amounts of negative feedback, I think this movie is wasted on most people. The director definitely failed on conveying her subtle nods to the 80s zeitgeist and Superman movies to the 2020 audience.

It’s a shame because I got it, but I understand how most people wouldn’t based on the age of the original Superman movies and the changing taste of movie consumers. -shrug-

Nods and homages aren't some substitute for good writing, directing, or special effects. I dont need a 2 hr homage to the old superman movies as I can just go watch them.

Compare how this car scene looked relative to WW84

This was done using magic carpets pulled next to real traffic. Looks great. WW had green screen stuff that looked awful. Bad effort led to bad results.

Maybe a victim of its own 80's perfection.

I can’t disagree. Apples and oranges, though. Only thing is, Marvel movies have taken it beyond just fruit.

    Pretty much what I’m saying.

I saw it and thought it was OK. You guys are fondly remembering the first movie as if it was Citizen Kane or something. The fact it has 93% RT is insane and comes from the time. People were expecting to have to defend a pile of trash after Ghostladies (2016) and Batman v Superman but it was halfway competent so was called a masterpiece.

Now this thing comes out, people have been watching good TV for a year, forgot how crap movies are, and are disappointed.

The runtime is probably long because without theater pressure to get higher turnover, there were not as strict of limits.

Kristen Wiig is great, Pedro Pascal was hamming it up, Gal Gadot sucks.

I really hope everyone decides it sucks so we can finally be done with 80's nostalgia though. It's been over a decade of nostalgia already.

The opening race was cool but it went into the dumpster quickly and never recovered. I loved the first one, very disappointed.

I think this is the first time I've liked all the actors and all the main characters, but hated a movie.
