What has happened to him business wise that is detrimental? You don't think he or his mother go to other people and get advice? It can be a negative but nothing since his mom has taken over has been detrimental that I can see and have you not heard about all of the agents who lack objectivity and have conflicts of interest or are flat out crooks? The people that actually matter take her seriously because she speaks for Harden.
Curry, but Harden’s deal was locked in before he dropped his agent. It was also relevant that his agent became GM of the Lakers and that is why he became agent-less.
What does this have to do with anything? And yes people have fired their family from representing them. I see you just want to drill down on Harden's mom should not be his agent even though you can't point to anything with her that backs up that argument. Carry on.
Not investing heavily in the periphery accompanying infrastructure is a terrible way to demonstrate to your star you are committed to winning (med staff, practice facilities, coaching staff, analytics dept, etc.)
I think the problem with his mom being his agent is in the pr leveraging sphere rather than deal making sphere. She doesn’t have the client list to really put pressure on journalists for publishing hit pieces. If this was happening to Lonzo Ball for example, Klutch could freeze that reporter out of all info regarding their entire roster and there is no way ESPN or The Athletic will tolerate that kind of freeze out.
I agree but I don't think harden would play that game regardless, you PR people are hitting him up to do exactly this.
Yes, Harden wanting out is a byproduct of a lot of things. Tilman did not go into the luxury tax for years. Tilman did not give a commitment to spend the resources to let the GM improve the organizational structure and staffing for player development and scouting. The top employees in the organization left so it isn’t a surprise Harden wants to leave. In fairness to Tilman he would likely say that Alexander did not spend the money or resources to update the organizational structure and staff and facilities. However at least the employees for the most part were left alone by Alexander.
Just read the first page then skipped here. What’s the synopsis? whether it’s his mom or not doesn’t really seem to matter. His actions speak for themselves.
