The rule the Texan players violated was more than 3 players being at one gathering. That rule has more to do with the point i was trying to make. The logistics of the rule are certainly understandable in the sense that one infected person could take out the team

It basically prevents the team from having any social gathering together

Since there was an agreement (at least for the nba, the only major sport I follow), this doesn’t come into play. It does speak to the importance of some type of agreement.

I imagine their are millions of Americans right now who only wish they could be paid millions of dollars to social distance, and wear a mask. Millions of us have been doing that for 10 months. They only wish they could have everyone they work with tested every couple days. No pity party here for any of these NBA and NFL players being told to follow protocol to help stop any spread on their team.

NFL players wish they had a union as strong as MLB and the NBA

    Yes, yes, and yes.

Your employers has the power to dismiss you for any reason except for your sex, gender, age, handicaps, and religion.

If you go to a private party and say, I love Republicans or I love Democrats and someone records it and it gets to your employer - you can be fired for that. That's completely legal.

It is believed players make more money as spectators want to watch the best play.

NBA players have been doing this for ages.
For example (I think all but I will salt some) players have no skiing on their contract or rec games. Due to fear of injury.

These new restrictions is due to fear of illness.
Players get 50% of the NBA each season. It's in their best interests for the NBA to do well financially so they do too.

Ok, buck already answered the question. Its the cba

Im not asking why players should submit to rules, im asking what gives the leagues power to enforce rules instituteed on the fly but i guess there waa negotiations on these rules

The exception is Montana I believe - but every other state is at-will. Right-to-work has to do with paying union dues and such. I mean, as an employee you can sign a contract that allows you certain freedoms, but without such stipulation in a contract, you are not protected if you aren't working in the public sector.
