if Nets are as good as their first two games, then what do Heat and/or Cs and/or 6ers and/or Raps do to keep from having a wasted season?
Well, the Celtics can wait, their core is very young so, they're not really forced to make such a big move like a trade for Harden unless they're 100% sure about it, maybe you could say the same for the Nuggets and the Sixers (although i think they should have more pressure cause Embiid can potentially bolt in a couple of years and i don't know if he's going to stay healty for a long time...oh, and i gotta think Morey probably expects Simmons/Rich Paul to ask out at some point so, what's better then trying to move him for Harden?). Miami is clearly the team that should go all in for Harden since they have Butler and they can't get Giannis anymore, same for the Nets since they have Durant and Irving. Not sure what to think about Toronto, to me they're clearly a team that should rebuild and avoid a similar trade, but i don't know what their real goal really is.
Oh my lord what have i just read... I made a huge mistake in reading what boston fans think about acquiring harden... I think i just lost 50% of my brain cells. Person A: "Jaylen Brown +3 Picks for Harden should get it done" Person B: "Hell no, not Jaylen, put Kemba in there and we should be fine." Person C: "Kemba + 3 firsts are you mad? Put Ojeleye (LOL) in there and keep the picks" My good lord, they can't seriously be this delusional, can they?
It seems to me it’s 6ers. And if I were they i.e. Philamorey, I’d try to structure Simmons/Harris/Ty 2 1s for Harden/Tuck.
Oh I’ve seen Harden carry our team to playoffs while missing multiple starters watching from the bench. I’ve seen him from day one surrounded with lesser talent change the way the game is played. But the worst part was arguing this with biased fans that believe Curry was better and could do what he did if he “hogged” the ball and chased stats like Harden. They can eat their crow now. I have no doubt Harden will put in a show tomorrow to rub it in their face too. Right now he’s still a Rocket and for that Iam grateful, just wish he would stay.
Makes sense, and i wouldn't be shocked if Tobias Harris is the holdup, that contract is awful and i can see Morey trying to swap that with PJ and maybe Gordon, that would be incredible for Philly all things considered, still, it would be horrible for us cause we already have Wall with a bad contract, getting also Harris and the rest of his max (which should be 4 years) would be eh...not ideal let's say.
If the Rockets were forced to take Harris for Tuck/Eric, on top of Simmons, I'd want Maxey, Thybulle, Milton and 4 FRP. Probably need 2 swaps too. edit: doesn't even work with the hard cap. Harris is a nonstarter unless Wall is going to Philly with James. Those contracts with Harris, Simmons and Wall would be impossible to build around for three season (Wall expires and Harris expiring).
This sounds so complex that it wont happen that way. Philly seems like the only team that can do this deal without giving up too much depth. Simmons and filler probably gets it done at the end of the day. I still dont see boston putting up jaylen. They would need him, tatum, AND james to have a chance against BK. Their depth is special. Phillys lack of spacing is going to kill them against the good defensive teams. With james they may lose some defensively, but the offense would be so much more fluid it just makes sense. Simmons will probably never have a respectable jumper and with a guy like embiid it wont work. Here with Wood that does work. We can surround him with shooting and he can play like giannis. It makes too much sense.
Lol we better get at least that. He’s a top three player and his game doesn’t depend on his athleticism. He’ll be in the MVP running for years.
We really need to not rush to trade Harden...It seems that Nets will be the team to beat in East and that should lead to bidding war in East to acquire Harden.
6 pages in 6 hours on a thread topic discussed 2 weeks ago. Either its ground hog day or people are extremely bored.
Ever since this started it's been the same story repeated over and over. It's beaten me into oblivion from saying don't trade Harden into trade Harden as quickly as possible, I just want to enjoy basketball and I don't even care if the team gets worse in the short term, get a new player who wants to be here.
If he kills space in Philly, why would you want him killing space for the Rockets? U just posted he'll never have a respectable jumper, yet we're supposed 2 trade our best player for him? Simmons will set us back building around him
