people are gonna look back 20-30 years from now, especially if harden continues to score like he has been and he will end up a top 15 player ever probably pushing a guy like barkley out
I didn't talk about consistency, I'm talking about better player. Murray led his team to two comebacks from being down 1-3 vs too highly favored teams and also had multiple 40 pt games vs Mitchell. Why would most people ignore what they did in the playoffs and just look at their all star credentials? This is the kind of contextual analysis you should be doing if you are honest to yourself and not sucking of Curry's dingdong. Based on your logic though of just looking accolades Harden could have easily unlocked Green's potential as he led the league in open catch and shoot 3s and has had more assists than Curry per his career. I think most people would agree the player who has more assists will do an equal or better job playmaking than the other player with less. Curry is more limited than Tucker cuz Tucker is elite both at offense and defense. He is a defensive superstar (no 1 in the league) and then he can hit 3s at an elite rate. So Tucker is a "CELING RAISER" because when you have superstars on the team he will perform at an elite rate both on offense and defense. Curry can just shoot at an elite rate, but defensively he is as limited as Tucker is offensively except he doesn't have anything he does at an elite level on defense. Ok so let's assume Warriors are below average. Why is Curry shooting 35% FG and 2/10 from 3? That's the type of numbers PJ Tucker would score if he had a crap team around him and forced to shoot and create. Where is the offensive versatility there? Curry hasn't shot great since last season where's the offensive versatility? Versatility means scoring at an efficient clip if you are shooting 35% how versatile are you exactly? Shooting 2/10 while being the GOAT shooter means he can't get separation from his man and needs somebody to create and set him up exactly like PJ Tucker. Lots of players played great even if they have crap teams around them Curry is the only one who isn't expected to play decent just because you label him as a "ceiling raising superstar". There's no such thing as a ceiling raising superstar there are only superstars and then there are stars and role players. Lebron can both carry a team and raise his team's ceiling that just shows there's no such limitation as superstars are able to do both.
Warriors are relying on too many talented but dumb players. Wiggins, Oubre, Chriss. So many athletic, talented guys who are just terrible players for some reason. Wiseman looks talented, but worried he’s not going to learn good habits around this group.
Here's what you wrote: Who do you think has consistently been a better player their entire career? First of all, Utah wasn't highly favored. In fact, they were underdogs; prior to the series, the Nuggets were favored to win the series (-220). You're essentially trying to argue that a handful of Murray's games in two playoff series trumps Westbrook's entire 2012 season and postseason. No one is going to buy that argument. Why are you so obsessed with Curry's penis? You keep bringing it up. Let's try to stay on topic, ok? We've all seen what Harden does without the ball. There's no way Green would've flourished alongside Harden. Curry creates countless open shots for teammates that aren't reflected in box scores. You know that, right? It's a stretch to say that Tucker is elite at offense. He's an elite 3 point shooter from the corner. That's it. In fact, it's more accurate to say that Tucker is an offensive liability. First, 2 of those 3's were from beyond half-court. They were quarter ending heaves. Second, he had to force more shots since his teammates were shooting poorly. However, he did miss 2 layups that he should've made. Curry didn't have a good game, but you're trying to make it seem worse than it was. You obviously didn't watch the game and only looked at the box score. Obviously there is because that's the kind of superstar Curry is. Also, keep in mind that Curry is going to be 33 years old in a few months. He's not going to play garbage time minutes to inflate his stats. Can you give a few examples of superstars who play great when they have crap teams?
I’m going to really enjoy looking at Warriors box scores this season and seeing Curry go 2-10 from 3 and them being blown out. The Warriors should finish blowing it up. Their time is over. Trade Draymond and Curry this season and trade Klay next season. I wonder what Curry would go for and if bringing him to the Rockets would make Harden happy.
Also, I thought a bunch of guys could easily put up a season like Harden in 18-19 if u gave them the usage and shot attempts? Harden had Clint, CP3, and EG all miss a good amount of time, so he proceeded to put the team on his back. Steph should easily be able to do the same, no?
Curry cannot even keep his team competitive for 2 straight games, getting blown out twice. How many games before Warriors put Curry on the injury list and tank for another #1 seed this season?
