Why is a barbershop considered within protocol when a player actually tested positive after going? If you youre not in a bubble this WILL happen. No point in trying to pretend one is worse than the other. If you are negative, keep playing.

Because of the 15 person indoor rule. The more people indoors the higher probability of being infected. The protocols are meant to reduce the probability of spread.

They didn't violate it. The purpose of punishments is for a deterrent mechanism. A 50 thousand dollar fine for many players isn't a deterrent. You need proper enforcement to deter.

But the 3 guys were in contact with a guy who actually has covid.

    That is a HUGE difference.

You calling anyone stupid is hilarious.

This is not about deterrence it is about containment.

You are stressing policy over safety.

    How fvcking dumb are you?

The missed games are not a punishment for Wall, Cousins, etc. BUT a precaution.

    Harden's fine was a punishment.

And how is making sure that the punishment provide actual deterrent not part of safety? Harden getting a slap incentivizes other players in the NBA to also break protocol which increases the probability of spreading of the virus.

What’s so hard to understand about that? The haircut gate people were around known exposure correct? In Hardens case he wasn’t around KNOWN exposure. It’s not hard Ben.

The point is still flying over your head. Those guys should miss the games due to quarantine. Harden should get punished because he broke protocol.

We aren't saying those guys shouldn't quarantine. We are saying Harden should either get fined substantially more or miss more games. I prefer fining him substantially more because missing more games is going to hurt his trade value.

Clearly that doesnt mean **** when a player is positive while james is not. People have small family gatherings and two weeks later grandma is dead from covid. You can get this **** anywhere. If james broke protocol then so did they. James has also already had it so the chances of being reinfected are astronomically lower than someome who has never had it getting it the first time. It s just being a little overblown IMO.

    Harden was punished.

Just not to the satisfaction of a Harden hating MFer like you.

I trust a multi billion dollar entity like the NBA knows what they are doing compared to a shat faced agenda driven twat like you.

But you keep pushing your stop the vote narratives.

Can you show the reporting that shows they knew they were positive? They just hung out. Contact tracing informs a person they we're in contact with someone with Covid.

And the odds of someone inside a 200+ person indoor party with masks having Covid is exponentially higher than in a barber shop with 15 people. ****, we don't even know if those other guys wore masks as masks aren't 1000% fail proof.

Man people are dumb. Do you understand there is a reason for a 15 person cutt off?

People can get Covid while doing the right thing. The NBA told their players that you can go to gatherings of 15 or less. The purpose of these protocols is to reduce the probability. The other Rocket players followed protocol and unfortunately got it hence they weren't fined. Harden due to winning the probability game didn't get Covid while actually violating protocol and attending a massive gathering of 200+ people with not a mask to be seen with the party publicized all over social media.

Good call! During his career Harden has proven to be quite injury-prone.

Lol you trust the organization when it satisfies you and don't when you believe Harden is getting shafted. It has nothing to do with principle.

And 50 grand for Harden and many superstar players isn not a deterrent.

    Man...

They really need to teach some basics of probability and statistics at middle school just incase people drop out during high school. No it's such an important concept to understand to avoid such stupid takes.

Also the CDC still advices people who got vaccinated to still wear masks because immunity doesn't mean you can't spread the virus.

I trust the NBA when it comes to covid.

    Yes, that is correct.

NBA deserves that benefit of the doubt, their handling of covid has been the best example even compared to the govt.

I trust the NBA when it comes to making the protocol rules. I don't trust them when it comes to enforcement with star players. The NBA is notorious for going soft on superstars. Their primary goal is revenue generation and superstars missing games is bad for the bottom line.

You just love to hear yourself talk, over and over and over and over again, diarrhea of the mouth.

You are still comparing hypotheticals to what actually happened.

    Ridiculous

    LOL

You know what else is bad for the bottom line, mass contamination.

And a player or NBA employee actually dying.

    You are f'ing stupid.
