I'll play work is slow. If Deshaun was on Tennessee, they'd be co-SB favorites with the Chiefs. If Tannehill was on the Texans, they'd at best be 4-9.
Not to mention all the safeties and LBs that get drawn to their elite running game, leaving the middle of the field open for Tannehill. Props for finally finding a system that makes it easier for him and maximizes his talents and that's what I've been wanting for Deshaun. Watching Deshaun excel in this rogue offense with linemen that go brain dead against stunts, no running game and sidekick receivers has been nothing short of amazing . I always give this number in the game day thread before any game but the opposing qb is averaging a 108 rating versus this "Defense". Deshaun has matched or exceeded the Opp QB in 11 out of 14 games. I see the frustration. I would have rather Alejandro won the MVP over Trout. No bias.
I agree with you but to clarify. Almost identical passer rating. Completion percentage for both is elite. Higher QBR for Tannehill and quite a few more TDs. Yardage is the big one for Watson.
It’s a testament to how unbelievably bad the rest of the roster is that a top 5 QB having his best season can’t get them to at least 8-8. The last two games you can put the blame squarely on Martin and Coutee. Watson can’t snap the damn ball and catch his own pass and not fumble.
You dont know this. But I'm pretty sure with Tannehill at QB the Texans could've beaten the Jags/Lions and most likely the Pats.
There are the qualifiers. I'll give you a qualifier, how many games has Tannehill brought the Titans from behind to win in the 4th qtr and how many has Watson brought the Texans from behind to win this year? I'm sure there will be more qualifiers. Being clutch is certainly a qualifier in Tannehill's favor and it's not all about the talent around Tannehill either. When the Titans are behind Henry really isn't a part of the gameplan.
Watson himself said he should've caught that snap. I agree on Coutee, this is something Coutee (Who has talent) has to get corrected if he wants to continue to have an NFL career.
I do not understand the massive negative hard-on you have against Watson. It is comical, and anything you say that is legit has to be filtered through the other 78% of bullsh!t you say.
At this point I don’t think there are many negatives-outside of not winning. That’s not all on Watson. He’s in the upper tier, I do think his career will be wasted here. One because it’s the Texans and two because of his contract not matching up with the inevitable massive rebuild.
Agreed Telling the truth is what good leaders do. BTW, he caught worse snaps than the one he missed in that game. Martin truly sucks though.
Don’t bother arguing with him. He won’t ever give Watson his credit he’s stubborn and made up his mind and he won’t ever admit Watson’s good. He’s someone who makes their mind up and always looks for ways to prove he’s right instead of admitting he could have been wrong. It’s a point of pride for him now that he’s smarter than everyone because he’s the only one who’s right about Watson not being good despite EVERYTHING backing up Watson being a star it’s pointless to engage
No... not piling on is what a good leader does. That was a terrible snap. While he "could" have caught it, it wasn't his fault. It was Martin's. Please provide a link to the multiple videos of worse snaps in that game.
Watch next game if you want to see what I'm talking about. Are you looking for an argument, Martin sucks.
Nope...just saying the bad snap was on Martin, not on Watson. You said there were multiple snaps WORSE that Watson caught in that game. There weren't. That one was monumentally bad and none of the others were close to that bad. Provide video evidence of snaps worse than the one Watson didn't catch. They should be out there from that game if there were any.
