You should be dominant to win Finals MVP otherwise it’s a gift. Iggy was gifted that MVP. I’m not saying he wasn’t valuable but definitely not “MOST” valuable.
The Warriors didnt even go out and blow out people consistently by 30. This team got embarrassed last year by the Thunder as well. A team with Steph Curry can do better than getting blown out by 30. No, I'm very confident you're an idiot. Check my edit. I said defensively and he can hit jumpers. Looney also outperformed Capela in his last playoffs. Eric Paschall is scoring 14 PPG on 57 TS% his first year in the league, Ariza is a career 10 PPG scorer on 53 TS% get the hell outta here. Paschall also is not a bad defender either. I didnt say Paschall was better than Ariza but both he and Oubre are better offensive players than Ariza is, and their defense isnt that far behind him either, actually Oubre might be better. Again, he's help for Curry, he isnt a replacement level player. You dont put up 14 PPG on 57 TS% if you are bad player, that's not how the "putting up numbers" on a bad team works goofy. Efficiency doesnt decrease when you play with better players....my god you dont know anything. They are talented, but there have been more talented teams out there. Getting blown out by 30 is never acceptable, you need to get that through your head. Check Looney's playoff numbers in 2018-2019. They are better than Capela's. He's not a replacement level player. And he's only 24 years old. Same with Paschall. They are enough that he should not be getting blown out by 30 to the Nets and making the playoffs. You really dont know crap about basketball. Uhh overall scoring efficiency trumps 3 point efficiency so yes it does in this case. It depends on the team though? On this Warriors team, I would rather have Oubre since he has shot creation abilities. Oubre is an 18 ppg scorer on good efficiency. Airza has never come that close in his entire career. And Oubre's defense isnt ass enough to where Ariza's defense trump's him in this scenario. Plus playing with Curry should give him more open shots which should spike up his 3 point efficiency. And that is what matters here. Oubre also has yet to reach his prime. He shot 37% that year though while still taking more threes that year than he did with Washington...next. Why not? If you are getting more looks playing with an offensive juggernaut, your efficiency should skyrocket. And even if it doesnt, he still provides efficient scoring in other ways, see this is what I mean by versatile....god. Its on average and yes that is significant, he took A LOT more threes that season than he did the previous season. Who were the ones taking the threes goofy? KD, Klay and Curry. Not the role players. They leveraged the gravity of their shooters for their offensive efficiency. They were also the ones who were taking the majority of the three point attempts. Sheessh No he wast 7-21, 2-10 from 3 and he was a minus 23. Get the hell outtta here. Curry didnt play any better than either of them so he doesnt get to talk.He couldnt even out play the rookie Wiseman who's also most likely better than Capela. Please stop with this crap. LOL and now you are saying they should have lost by 50 hmmm. They are better than Aldridge Derozan LOOL. Also better than Ingram/Zion/Ball Bledsoe LOL. Draymond is more than that and he will have to be for them to get to 6-8 seed. Draymond can be that if he tries. He'll just have to play like he does in the playoffs. He's a HOF, one of the best defensive players ever and a top 10 playmaker in the league(according to Ben Taylor who knows waaaaay more than you or I....you especially). He doesnt have to prove crap to you, they were tanking last year lol. Super fan? Im a super fan for expecting 2 time MVP, three time champion and one of the best offensive players ever to take his team to the playoffs. LMAO. Yea, Imma real super fan.....holy crap....every time. You provide nothing intellectual.
Dont forget Wiseman and Looney were there too. Curry shot 7-21 and 2-10 from 3 while being a minus 23.....**** outta here. It wouldnt have been 30 points if the man had performed, he did not. He's the main offensive weapon. Harden/Capela/House/Tucker/Rivers vs Curry/Klay/KD/Draymond/Looney/Iguodala Guess who won? LMAO. Anyways....NOW I'm done with you, I never want to read another post of yours ever again.
So let's give Curry those 10ppg you so desperately think warrants him getting the FMVP. How many points did Iggy stop LeBron scoring? Or do you think Iggy was awarded the FMVP for his scoring output? Again, judging by your comments earlier, you don't have much of an IQ when it comes to the defensive side of things so you actually probably do think this.
People that argue that Curry is not great are just idiots. You just need to watch him a bit to understand how much he impacts the game. Him and Harden are completely different players, the only thing they have in common is that both are genius on offense and at their bests, average on D. James plays hero ball and he is really good at it. He also has the physique to carry a team on his shoulders for a season. He is a walking playoff berth almost by himself. Now... come playoff time, he is not that good. He chokes on big games. Curry is a great team player. He wont carry a team on his shoulders like harden, but if you have a team around him, he will be best piece on a championship. His shooting and moving off the ball benefits every one. There's a reason why no matter who was on the court for the Warriors, if Curry wasn't there, their plus minus went a lot lower.
Yeah unfortunately he didnt get gifted Draymond Green, Klay Thompson and KD on a silver platter, he got Ryan Anderson, Eric Gordon and Trevor Ariza instead. But hey at least he maximized what he got. GOAT shooter Curry oth can't even make indian curry unless he has 3 all stars on the team...
How do you know Harden can never be that complimentary player? He never got gifted 3 all star players most he got was 1: Dwight, Cp3 and WB. You keep saying Harden chokes in the playoffs but the fact that he brought a subpar team there means he can do a lot more if he was given the type of support and babying Curry has had. I think everyone will say its a lot easier to be a complimentary player to KD, Draymond and Klay than it is to carry Ryan Anderson and Eric Gordon to top 3 seed. Just exchange Harden and Curry you think GSW gonna miss a beat? Oth will Rockets even make the playoffs? Lulz there's your answer. Maybe if Harden has 2 other triple threat all stars and all 4 other teammates are stretch players then his shooting will improve exponentially as well just like Curry. Harden is able to make step back 3s sp he should be able to make stand still catch and shoot 3s at a higher clip with nobody guarding him. I mean Curry shot 33% this game where was the GOAT shooting? His teammates certainly didnt benefit since Curry shot like trash himself. Although Curry is def a great shooter, my guess is his % just got boosted thanks to the unprecendented space he had which other superstars didnt enjoy. Now that he doesnt have an OP team with multiple players that command double teams we are gonna see his "real" shooting %.
Haven you seen Harden play off the ball? Complementary to what? He doesn't even move. He plays his way, and again, he is awesome at it, but there s a reason no superstar stays here for more than a couple seasons. Harden was a complement to 2 other superstars WB and KD on oklahoma, and he chocked badly in the finals. Saying that Harden has the potential of being as good as a shooter as Curry is just r****ded. I don't even know why I'm wasting my time. This is the problem with arguing with idiots, they bring you down to their level and beat you with experience. Good night
Lol Harden wasnt in his prime in OKC, if you think he choked in the FINALS what about Curry who was collecting lotto picks in GSW? Choking in the Finals when he hasnt reached his prime vs choking before reaching the playoffs which player choked more? You do realize one reason Curry was such a great shooter is because all the space he had right? You are saying he is such a great shooter but part of that is because the other team is losing their mind on who to guard. Lots of time he can hold up his finger and test the air before he needs to shoot. So give that kind of space and treatment to Harden you really think Harden's shooting wont go up? Curry's True Shooting % is record breaking 62% but Harden's career TS% is pretty close at 61%. Take away the team buff on shooting that Curry receives and give it to Harden then he can totally be just as good as Curry. This year is extremely important to Curry as now os the time he can shut up his detractors. If he cant get separation and shoot at GOAT level with an average team then it just proves GOAT shooter Curry is just a product of having 4 all stars on the team. Give Lebron, Kawh, Harden and KD 4 all stars for multiple years they can also be goat shooter candidates. All the Curry fan boys keeps saying Curry is such a gravity magnet and extremely unguardable, just watch him he shoots 5 ft away from 3 pt line. Ok so lets see those trick shots when he doesnt have multi all stars giving him so much room.
Curry will ALWAYS be remembered as the mad bomber from three who helped lead a Warriors dynasty to the NBA Finals 5 years in a row. They won 15 straight series vs the mighty Western Conference compiling a 60-17 record. Winning 3 NBA titles in the process. No matter what happens from this point on, these were the defining years of his career.
Cmon man. Look at Dream34’s run in the Finals. Shaq’s run with the Lakers, Jordan’s Finals. You telling me that Iggy’s performance was equivalent? How low are you setting the bar? You don’t even have to be the best player in the series? Cmon dude.
Warriors were 16- 7 vs James Harden in the playoffs over their 5 year run. Which included a 6 & 7 game series. The Warriors were 44 - 10 vs the rest of the mighty West. So if Harden choked, WHAT THE HELL DID THE REST OF THE WEST DO?
What's your obsession with Looney? He's a replacement level role player. And Wiseman didn't do anything until garbage time. It's pretty clear you didn't watch the game.
It doesn't matter how many points Lebron would've scored. The Warriors were always going to win since Irving and Love were injured. Curry carrying the Warriors offensively was far more important than Iguodala guarding Lebron. Look at it this way. If Iggy misses the series, we're all confident the Warriors still win. Can we say the same if Curry misses the series?
Can Steph carry his own team? Uhh, yes. Did you watch any Warriors games pre-KD? It looks to me like he’s lost a little off his fastball. Still a very good player but he turns 33 in a couple months. It happens. Some people don’t realize the physical toll of being in the championship mix year after year. These guys aren’t robots. Their bodies break down with age, heavy use, ect. Bird’s body started to completely break down at 32. DWade saw a significant decline in his game at the age of 32...LeBron noticed it and left for a younger supporting cast. Kobe tore his Achilles at 34 and was never the same. Most greats have seen a noticeable decline somewhere between 32-35 years of age. LeBron is an outlier here and has warped people’s perspective on players aging.
This might be the most ridiculous take I’ve read today. And then you realise I actually read a comment today stating the Rockets went to small ball because of James Harden’s defense. To own both of those posts is truly astounding work on your behalf. And not anywhere near resembling a positive way mind you. I feel I have to ignore you out of pure embarrassment because I truly do not want to read your views relating to basketball anymore. They’re just that awful.
