Not sure what the vaccine has to do with the level of play. Both teams are mostly on even footing - both played in the bubble, both teams have healthy rosters, etc. There's too much money lost if there's a delay in the season.
See that's what I don't get. We have legions of evidence that if leagues just plow forward with games and pretend like COVID19 doesn't exist everyone gets COVID19 and then you end up cancelling or postponing games or playing them at 2 pm on a random Wednesday like the NFL/NCAA. This loses lots of money! These broadcast contracts are negotiable. Negotiate. Vaccinate the players. Play a normal season. Nobody GAF if it's in summer. This is the same false choice we made nationally when we said " in person service economy or public health" ....reopened too soon/badly and ended up getting neither
How could nba play games in summer! Who ever heard of such a thing! NBA had a great opportunity to rethink it's 82 game bataan death March regular season followed by 2 months of drawn out playoffs with interest progressively waning with each week of trench warfare...and ****ing missed royally.
You could tell why teams don't want to quit Paul George when he plays like this. Something cool and aesthetic about his game when he's on.
Unless you expected them to go undefeated this season, I highly doubt this will be the only game they don't look "so tough"
Clippers look fine when contested crap jumpers fall but look like a broken team when they don't. You live with Kashi taking 18 foot turnarounds. If he makes it whatever.
Lakers Vs. Clippers: My Overactions and Observations I was only able to watch most of the second half of the game, but it was obvious that the Clippers were the "try-hards" and the Lakers treated this game like a scrimmage. However... This game (based off of the second-half) would have been much closer if PG13 did not go off and make very difficult shots. On the other hand, he was fed the ball in spots that he has a higher chance of making; in the flow of the offense. Luke K. is a great secondary playmaker. He moves the ball so well, and makes so many great hockey assists. I cannot believe they got him for Shamet (sp?). Dude knows his role, and plays it very well. Just like Luke K., the other role players know their role and don't try and do too much. It looked like great team ball, but it is unrealistic that PG13 goes off like he did, so it might not look as pretty as it did today. Like I said, this is an overreaction. I do expect the Lakers to crush the Clippers, if they meet in the playoffs, but the Clippers look more cohesive this year than last year. I wish we could have traded for Luke K. I have always liked how he plays even though he missed some shots in the second half; he was still a net positive. What are your guys' overreactions?
