If true no wonder the Heat said no.

Well that is a given. Ch44 mentioned the Rockets have told the Nuggets they want a package of picks and assets around Michael Porter junior. It’ll be interesting how Denver responds in the coming days or weeks. I guess depends how they look for the few games.

This means the opposite. We dont want to pay for Jarret Allen to make him come back to the Rockets. Extensions make easier deals in this case. Either way the Nets can kick rocks.

I know it’s a given because anything less should immediately cost Stone his job, and I saw the @ch44 post from earlier today, too. I quoted this particular post because you wrote the Rockets might get one of Murray or Porter Jr. in a trade with Denver.

Harden is worth BOTH + multiple FRP.

Getting just 1 of them for Harden would be criminal.

Maybe. It's not "that" outrageous an ask, imo.

Harden is the best player, by far, of that package.

The Heat are a Jimmy Butler injury, bad season, or bad series away form a first or second round exit.

People are "super" high on them because of their Finals run. Sure, in the East, in the bubble, with Bucks flaming out (again).

Aside from competent drafting, Heat improvement ahs to come from young player improvement, which should come. But the Nets got way better, the 76ers perhaps got better, the Bucks got better, and the Celtics, Raptors and Pacers still exist.

Im not saying if I was the Heat I'd do that deal, but considering the Heat had no 1st round picks to trade, it was a reasonable ask, imo.

I think I would trade Harden and Tuck for Murray, MPJ and Barton plus 1 pick and be fine with it. That’s about the best package I’ve seen. Two young potential stars and a serviceable starter at premium position.

The “John Wall screaming he’s better than Westbrook on his way to his car” fan fiction? That was an embarrassing thread.

all u have to do is make an educated guess and claim it came from sources, and many will just believe it...u can even expose yourself by saying a pick or player that can’t be traded is included in a potential deal like Scoop B and Ivergoat have done, and people will still eat up the BS they come up with next

I agree with you. I’m on record here saying Michael Porter Jr. has not accomplished enough as an NBA player to be the best asset the Rockets receive in a James Harden trade.

I’m not ****ing with Denver for anything less than a deal centered around Jamal. They’re not getting a top 5 player without giving up one of their top 2 players.

My position from the very start has been that the best course action due to all these leaked bogus info and compounded by Hardens unprofessional handling of the situation ( majority of it Tillman’s fault) has been to start the season with him and let him rebuild his value on the court. Given the optics, right now naturally his value is at its lowest point with all these questions running around. Hence why right now there is noway teams were going to max out their offers. As you said no harm in asking but the obvious answer was going to be no .

This is a what have you done for me lately. Let him and Wood tear it up on the court for 30 or so games and then if he is in MVP form then the Heat and others will be ringing nonstop with their best offers

Agree. Harris is actually a better fit next to Harden anyway as a high quality defender.

I could see something like Murray, MPJ and 2 1st for Harden. We could also throw in some of our wing depth if that would make Denver more comfortable with the deal.

Does anyone know why Harden wants out? Seems like right now, right here he's got the best supporting cast he's ever had, or will ever have-- there's nothing close to this squad for him anywhere else. He doesn't have an agent? Is he mentally OK?

He wants to be carried by another superstar or group of superstars. He's at the point where he doesn't think he can be the best player on a championship team so he's hoping to get to the Nets because he think the broken shell of what was once KD can carry him. It's sad to see something like that happen to a once proud player.
