lol. What's wrong? I can't agree with you now? But guyz, with no height restrictions, this Andre Drummond guy is pretty good (check if I'm right!) : 3rd in steals -- Andre Drummond is better 2nd in blocks -- Andre Drummond is better 4th in defensive rebounds -- Andre Drummond is better 4th in defections -- Andre Drummond is better 1st in offensive loose balls recovered -- Andre Drummond is equal 2nd in all loose balls recovered -- Andre Drummond is 0.1 behind 1st in contested 2 pt shots -- Andre Drummond is better 5th in all contested shots -- Andre Drummond is better Wow, I changed my mind. Andre Drummond is the world's best defender. When I think "defender", I think "Andre Drummond".
I'm not saying he's a horrible defender, and I don't think I'm saying he doesn't play defense -- he's improved a lot. I'm saying his primary focus has always been as the center of the offense 99% of the time for this team. Now with the game that Silas is implementing, with a scoring big, and possibly even more scoring threats in Wall, I'm saying maybe we can take some of that offensive load off and have him focus more on the defensive changes Silas wants to implement. But it's like you can't say anything about the dude without people getting their tights in a wad and screaming "but look! i got numberz!!! For guys over 215 pounds and less than 6'9" with less than 3 vowels in their last name ..." If that's the case, I can play some games with numbers, too.
Andre Drummond received 4th most votes for DPOY last season. So yes, Drummond has become a much improved defender, nearing elite level. He has said his goal is to win DPOY this season.
Is instagram your version of tea leaves or crystal ball? Try twitter, you'll see plenty of Harden. And PJ.
Nah, not going for that either. What really happened was that only 4 or 5 guys got any substantive votes and somebody gave Drummond a 1st place vote so he made it to something like 7th (yes, he got 1 vote and it was for the best defensive player in the NBA... yeah, right). If I remember, Patrick Beverley was something like 4th. Even that stud Hassan Whiteside made the list. But I do wish him well on winning DPOY. Kelvin Cato once promised he would lead the league in rebounding, too.
You can ignore facts all you want, that's on you. Fact is Drummond finished 5th (3 way tie) in 1st place votes for DPOY last season. He [also] finished third in the NBA in steals per game and was the only player in the league ranking in the top 10 in both steals and blocks. Rudy Gobert is 2 time DPOY, what does that tell you? https://www.detroitbadboys.com/2019...n-early-case-for-defensive-player-of-the-year
lol. Yes. Drummond got 1 vote because somebody voted him the best defensive player in the league and finished in a 2-way tie for 7th, I thought (tied with Kawhi, btw). I could be mistaken. But telling me to not ignore that is like me chuckling at people ignoring "6'7" and over players" just so the rankings will look better. But I'm the one that brought up Drummond, though. Drummond is a decent defensive player just like Harden, and he'd be an even better player if we ignored players under 6'11". Rudy Gobert at least makes you think about changing your team's offense ... until he's exposed, too. Come out and guard Christian Wood, Rudy. BTW, below in the spoiler is further evidence some of these voters should have their voting licenses revoked. This is the guy that voted for Drummond and Hassan Whiteside. He had some other interesting picks. Anywho... I'll leave you guys to the wonders of stats. No hate for you D-Rock - you're one of the most rabid fans I've seen, and that's a good thing. Spoiler
Wow the Godfather himself dropping some heat!!! and for that reason....the Heat are out on the Harden sweepstakes.
Not sure the heat ever wanted him for that reason. Hard to picture him as a culture fit there. I can definitely see them wanting Brown or Siakam in a three team trade though. Probably even Ben simmons if they could somehow keep one or two of their shooters.
LOL, how are y’all coming to the conclusion that Riley wouldn’t Harden because of some 9 second clip? foul on the play, stop reaching
Bruno has to show that attitude that Bol Bol has. A rookie big is looking so much sharper than him. Will Bruno step up to the plate? Silas needs to get tough with him. No more soft ball, or else you’re out. @ApacheWarrior @D-rock @Deckard @Nook
