    Celtics won’t trade
u trade for harden because harden is a top 6 player whose and mvp. It’s not a knock on brown or anyone else to say they’ll never be good as harden.

If you’re starting a team from scratch, give me Herro all day over Brown. Brown might be better if you’re keeping Harden...which isn’t happening.

    Herro is that dude imo.

I think most people want all the best assets outside of the other team’s top asset.

Like the Anthony Davis trade, for instance. If James is going, it’s so YOU have the opportunity to pair the 2nd best player in the NBA with Jaylen, Jokic, Jimmy, etc.

If we aren’t getting everything outside of that top top asset, no deal. Harden is too good.

not my point. I am looking at the overall situation not just from Rockets standpoint. Please don’t try to belittle me behind a keyboard. All I’m saying is it Makes little sense for a team to take on a player that doesn’t necessarily want to be there. Again unless we are not privy to info that’s out there in terms of what is or has already been discussed.

If Jayson Tatum wanted out, there’s no way you could honestly say you’d be excited over getting Jaylen Brown as the featured return.

This deal would be Al Jefferson for Kevin Garnett all over again.

that’s irrelevant. My point is teams trading for harden doesn’t mean they aren’t happy with their young prospect, it means they have a chance to upgrade their team with an mvp on a multi year deal.

Agreed ....Jalen Brown does not get me excited at all rather roll the dice with the ceiling of Ben Simmons...

Similar argument with Nets and Irving. According to reporting the Rockets want a star in return. Jaylen brown much like other players in various proposed packages from these teams are not that player they are envisioning. So what makes this package any different when Rockets wanted Irving in the Nets deal? What’s different? What’s changed? This is my point.

I mean he wants a contender, he wants the east, Boston just made it to the ECF, has been there 3 of the last 4. Can pair him with another star player. Regardless of what u think ab Boston as a team they literally just made the conference finals.

It’s just obvious when a guy has the “it” factor.

I never said Tatum plus brown did I? Don’t really understand the confusion as you all that are arguing with me miss the point completely. If you read what I said, I stated why not include Tatum in a deal instead of brown. And if the deal is brown then there needs to be other pieces involved including smart because the brown deal makes little sense considering the reporting of the Rockets demands of other deals.

Herro has a wayyyyy better chance at being a #1 or #2 on a championship team than Brown. Brown is a “final piece to puzzle” type guy....think Andre Iguodala when he was in his prime. You don’t trade a superstar for that type of player.

Do you think he can have the "it" factor as the #1 option?

Potentially, yes. For sure as a #2.

Brown has no chance at being a number 1...and if he’s your number 2, you ain’t winning the title.

That's not all I'm seeing. People up above us are actually arguing over whether it's realistic to expect them to include both Tatum and Brown. So what? Harden and Kemba are supposed to get it done?

Realistically, nobody is going to want Harden unless they're adding him to their best player. That's just how it works.
