Cant believe nobody has mentioned pemmican yet. CF, I am disappoint. A bunch of uncultured swine on here.
If that's true, then it's pretty much like any authentic cuisine in any country, I guess : depends on the mom/granny/chef cooking it how it's going to taste. The general taste is the same, but differences still abound based on personal taste. I always thought authentic Thai cooking would be really hot.
South Indian food is spicier. By spicy I don't necessary mean hot sauce spicy; more like flavor spicy. Both are good; I lean more southern. With take out and restaurant places, the food can be pricier per quantity than say burger/chicken places or Chinese/Italian take-outs. Some of that is because of the ingredients, takes time to prepare. Some grocery stores carry the 'tv dinner' version of them, which is still a good buy. Microwave heat them up and enjoy.
You can start a thread "Do you like Northern Indian food (Salish, Sioux, Chippewa) or Southern Indian food (Cherokee, Navajo, Seminole)?"
I probably just consume Westernized Indian food. Whichever location of India that serves lamb Vindaloo and Nan.
I had a Native American version of Chipotle in Denver once and it was next level. https://www.tocabe.com
That looks pretty good. There are a few places to get Native American cuisine here in Minneapolis. I'll have to get some fry bread tacos this week.
