Harden, Bam,Jimmy and Goran is the eastern conference finals bound. On paper you could put a janitor at PF with those four guys and that is the best starting lineup in the east

Give me Herro, Robinson, Precious, filler (Iggy) and three unprotected firsts and you can have Harden right now. 13 pts and 15 rebounds in 23 minutes tonight for Precious, by the way. I agree that no individual player is going to replace JH's production, but JH's individual dominance was both his biggest asset and flaw IMO. We need to start looking at the Rockets as a team again. We are all stuck in this mindset where a basketball team = 1 monster player who does ALL of the offensive work + whatever he needs to make him better. The Herro / Robinson+ deal is a step away from the Morey-Harden model of BB and it shouldn't be evaluated in those terms. We definitely won't get a player back that can play the Harden role, but we may get players back that can help build a great team.

Not necessarily. Lots of talent to be had that late, and you'd be rooting for two of those picks to be after Harden expires, which would be after a theoretical Miami implosion and harden leaving.
