The fact is we are going to LOSE in any deal unless we get Lebron, AD or Kawhi back. That is a fact. We will get raped because harden is a top 5 player so unless you get them you will lose talent wise.

At this point the best bet is get the best value possible and atleast get raped with dignity

The owner of this team is awful. I concur. It's misguided to mention it imho. Bringing it up as a point in the constellation is toxic. Tillman is fugazi. Broke. I'd hate to work for him. Harden should sincerely recognize his options & respect his teammates. All I'm hoping for

Or figure out a way not to get raped at all.

    I'm anti-rape.

Its happening. Tilman is not gonna beg for Harden to come back cause he rather use it as an excuse to rebuild and save more money.

    A rebuild under Tilman? That’s that sh*t I don’t like.

My forecast for the Rockets post-Harden? Pain. Misery. Irrelevancy.

That is up to Harden and I think the Rockets first option is to keep him. I don’t think they want to trade him hence the 50 million dollar extension offer. If Harden says I want to stay Stone will pass out from tears of joy but as I said unless you get a trade for the three I mentioned we will get destroyed in any trade.

That is why we have to play it cool and not panic. Give harden 30 games with this team to build his value and hell he might think damn C Wood can be the piece I needed and stays.

don’t just trade for the heck of it

We can if Tilman doesn’t go for a mediocre player like Allen and 3 first round picks, in order to save money like Nook mentioned in a hypothetical scenario.

Idk harden labeled as toxic diva or the trash owner?

U can rate an owner by their actions, tilman so far shows that he wants to b only a nba team owner not a champ.

Like what stopping him from speaking to media saying I want harden to give us a chance to compete for a ring. Or Harden isn't a toxic diva and we bend to his every will.

Like we don't hear both side of the story but to me tilman ain't trying that hard to convince harden to stay, more like he's helping harden get the boot.

Chill bro on your hyperbole, not cool tbh. Everything will be OK... Harden wants out yet you demand a better player back? Or even worse, hope that he changes his mind? Smh, Not exactly how this sorta thing usually works, i.e. New Orleans

Depends what your goal is. If the goal is to better position the franchise for the future while remaining competitive, then no, it doesn't have to be a loss.

better position the franchise for the future while remaining competitive sounds to me = sounds like celebrating getting into the playoffs but not really serious about winning it all type.

U either go ALL IN or u tank. if we do what u are saying, it's gonna b a repeat of pre harden years all over again.

I have some theories but I could just be in denial. At first I thought maybe James created all of this to ditch Westbrook and stay in Houston after Russell leaves. There has been some pretty bad media for Harden and I don't think he would have taken it this far.

My new hope is that Rockets have every intention of keeping him at least until the deadline to give it a chance to win him back. The Rockets think if they can get a solid SF or break out player, then they will be right back in the conversation. By pretending to make James available but wanting more pieces, Philly and other teams will go find them a player that can be had and they are establishing the value off the player. If the Rockets get a 3 team or 4 team trade proposal where are really good player is in included for a pick or two, then the Rockets could just cut out the middle man get the player themselves to add to Harden.

My denial also doesn't think that there is a team that can offer the Rockets an acceptable package and still be better than this Rockets team. I think Philly with Embid, Harden and Tobias and role players, doesn't have the potential of Wood, Wall, Cousins, Gordon and PJ. Also, didn't Harden not want Lebron because he wanted to be the man. With the Rockets, there is no Robin to his Batman, he is clearly the man. Not the case in BKN and PHI. Maybe Miami has the assets, but I'm still not interested.

There is no package I've seen that helps the Rockets. At best we can be a 4 or 5 seed team that all the young players leave after their contract is up because TIllman is awful. I think if any trade is made, it should be for picks. If we get Simmons and picks, then repackage Simmons for a bad contract and more picks. Best case scenario, we get all of our picks back from OKC. At least that way we could tank.

Don't trade Harden for a check of 70 cents on the dollar. Trade Harden for a bond on 70 cents on the dollar and hold the bond for a few years, then cash it in for a dollar or maybe more. Hopefully Fertita will be gone by then. I don't want to see the pre-Harden team that got the 14th pick every year. It's exciting to have a top 5 team and a bottom 5 team, anything else, you're just spinning your wheels.

You're right, a classic villain has some sort of charisma, he does not.
