lol. I think they were the ones that discovered the allegedly Russian hack while investigating their own breach. I'm not sure if they're the same breach or not. They also identified the kill switch on the Russian malware. So... there's that. Besides, considering the number potential companies this affects, you'd probably have to sell a ton of companies if you sell the ones affected.

Yeah, there are a lot of companies that were powerhouses that didn't fare well. There are companies still running around that could've dominated the planet, but never did because they didn't take advantage of their advantages (like XRX, for example). It reminds me of a Mac cup I got from Apple (somehow) in the early 90's that read "To get advantage you have to take advantage" or something similar.

Amen. Probably 2 of the 3 or 4 best months of trading I've ever had.

But I don't want to die a poor man. You can keep that part.

    any SPACulators out there?

It would result in Alight, a cloud-based benefits administration and human resources services to 30 million people in 188 countries, becoming a publicly-listed company at a valuation of more than $8 billion, including debt. Alight offers

Earlier this month, Blackstone and another private equity firm, CVC Capital Partners, agreed to merge payments platform Paysafe Group Holdings Ltd with another Foley-backed SPAC, Foley Trasimene Acquisition Corp II, in a deal worth $9 billion, including debt.

Wall street bros, any of y'all tried writing or calling the investor relations departments of the companies you are holding before? Any luck? Do they bother replying to retail investors?

Damn looks like this was already anticipated. Warrants are already expensive for a rumor stage SPAC. Will have to see price on Monday, but I may sit this one out or wait for rumor/price to cool

a tiny tiny %? haha. just some clarification qns, i think the analysts covering it are super off on their revenue projections/price targets based on news/contracts signed. anyway i sent an email, will share if they ever write back but i doubt it.

are these professional analysts usually very tight with the IR departments of the companies they cover? if they project $x revenue next quarter, will it usually be within a few %?

Usually they are, but there have been situations where they missed by a mile -- especially recently, and of course I can't remember which one I'm thinking of. They're accurate for the most part only for the next quarter - anything beyond that, of course, gets iffy. There are those that say as earnings get closer, analysts get better, but most of the time they'll end up being too cautious with their numbers and companies end up beating the numbers most of the time as a result. Analyst numbers recently seem to be off, but I could just be imagining that (like the past couple of years). It also depends on the analysts, of course.

Not sure if you are still holding, I didn't reply earlier as I'm not familiar with the companies and was unable to comment. I took a brief look at OSTK today, looks like a decent high risk/reward play. Market cap is still small, already profitable, operating margins improving with scale, big question mark is can it continue growing post-covid? Haven't decided if I want to buy. If you are customer/user maybe you can provide some insight on this.

On whether to sell at loss or hodl; i find it helpful to ask myself if i was starting with a clean slate, would i still want to buy stock X, or would i buy stock Z because i think it's a better bet. if the answer is stock Z then it's time to sell X. Stock X may eventually recover, but it's locking up money that could be put to better use on Z. good luck!
