Yeah, if a $100 million extension can't convince him, maybe Stone and a bouquet of flowers can get the job done.

    I'm intrigued why that matters.
Is it because he won't go above the league set salary cap into the luxury tax?
From what I could find, there are only 4 teams above the cap (make that 3 now that OKC traded CP3).

Is it because of TF's political views? If that's the case, then Harden better block nearly 50% of the country that also voted Trump.

Or is it TF is saying NO now, along with others like Stone. Well if that's the case, I'm not sure which contending teams Harden wants that will allow him more rope than hes had in Houston.

My guess is Hardens pouting because everyone's left him and he's now the longest serving person at the Rockets and he seems to want to go East where its 'an easier path' to the finals.

    If Harden concedes to stay
How many concessions will Stone demand?

    Winning may not be enough.
If Stone is the "culture changer" people want him to be......he may start driving up the cost of staying.
No more this that and the other.
Which is more than just staying.
This would be a bigger impediment to him staying than the wrong package.

Did Ted Brown or Tilman's accountant contacted you yet?

You should be the new voice of this sorry franchise as they need more delusional fans like you to fill the empty seats for years to come.

You really have to ask? It’s because he doesn’t do what’s necessary to win a championship. If you don’t pay to play you won’t win in the NBA today.

Make a condition of staying the sell of the team to someone worthwhile?

Yeah, would be good if he could get Tilman to sell.

Selling papers on a silver platter.

    Closeout game 7 at home:

32/6/6 Looks great! But let's dive deeper...

    2-13 from 3...

    12-29 from the field...

    5 turnovers...

    and a whopping Loss.

Keep defending him all you want but the fact remains he shrinks when the lights are the brightest.

I can't reply to your post without taking this to D&D, so I won't. I will say that I disagree with a lot of what you posted, however.

3rd stage of grief right here. Bargaining.

    Look forward to depression
And finally acceptance (james harden appreciation thread)

Would be cold blooded if Harden started all this **** about wanting the team to trade him because he wants a ‘ship, then he realizes this team is really good and has a shot at a ‘ship and wants to stay, then the Rockets trade him to the Kings or some ****.

    I was only posing questions.
I think its more than TF or whoever the owner happens to be.

    That rhymed!
But yes I am asking because there are so many conflicting stories.
Harden made the choices on trades which to do so, lost our assets and future trades. That I put on Morey.
Tilman hasn't gone into luxury tax, but neither have 25 other franchise's. Portland and OKC are 2 teams last year that did and that got them no where.
Yes TF cut costs on the coaching side - and presumably wouldn't pay for Lou who was apparently Hardens 1st choice for coach. But I wonder how many people wouldve been happy with Lou? I seem to recall VanGundy being the popular choice.
Like I said, I just think there's more.

I’m not going to be surprised to see us trade harden to the pistons for some massive haul and a lot of cash considerations

Solid point on Boogie. At the very least he could be highly effective in limited minutes and maybe he would last the entire season.

I really hope they can trade James for a player that has as good as shooting abilities and potential championship DNA. James never grew with a focus like the elite do for the title.

The Rockets said they want their guy which leads me to believe he is on a team that doesn't want Harden.

Wow - you honestly don't think this team is talented? Wall is an all star and healthy, Boogey is an all star and healthy, Wood is playing and has all star potential - Eric G is very good, House is good, Cabocolo is showing some good things....this team has talent - and it all fits together.

AND it is VERSATILE - something I have been posting about for more than 6 years at least.

I wish/hope this is possible. Against the spurs, he looked amazing with Wood, and we actually ran some sets that had him moving off-ball for spotup 3s ... I couldn't believe it. Still would like to see how he plays alongside Wall but not sure if it's too late and either he or the Rockets have already made up their mind.
