Can you rely on Harden to get you over the top in the next few years?... I think we all know that depends on what Wall and Boogie does... It ain't all about Harden no more ( though 50% of CFs probably disagrees) Same can be said for Simmons ... Though I agree Harden is a better player, I would be excited to see what Simmons can do... Dude is a specimen! And don't lump me with other b****ing posters... I ain't one... I never liked him as our leader but I thought Harden was great with the hand he's been dealt over the last 5 yrs... One of the great scorers we've seen but nothing more IMO
I'm just saying getting rid of a great scorer for a dude who can't score or isn't confident at scoring is u know kinda iffy.
Agreed.. But id take a chance on a potential 22/8/8 guy + picks, If and only if you're gonna trade him.. I'm sure there's better packages coming in... I just hope it's the right one for the sake of the organization and real fans...
Lucky for woods he probably has the greatest pick and roll passer to ever play the game to guide him. Only question for how long
They have so much potential especially with Silas. If only we could get some of this dead weight that will hold them back off the roster..
That trailing 5 ,ball and body movement, cuts ,pick n roll, iso , and yes sprinkled amounts of small ball plus a post up option with pick n pop action is a recipe for elite basketball play and bigtime wins. This team can do it all. If James stays and ge and wall can share dominance over the rock they will beat the tar out of teams. Look at the quality threes we are getting our improvement is already happening.
Like I said this is the best and most talented Rox team. We even have a banging HC. Hats off to Fertits and Stone for pulling through. With that said I STILL dont think this group is good enough to dethrone the lakers. Lets face it LeGoat is better than Harden and as good as Wood is he aint no AD. So to me Harden will just remain unhappy after another failed bid for a ring so lets just trade him while he still has a year ahead in his deal to maximize his.trade value. I'm a big Harden fan, but the Rox have given it shot after shot for multiple years to no avail. It's to reload and get going while the going's good IMO.
Simmons is pointless because unless ownership changes we'll be facing this same drama in another year's time. Better to roll with Harden who has an actual ceiling. On topic, yes we should try this year. I know the Lakers are the prohibitive favorites but I, for one, was Hella surprised that they made it through last year injury free. They're an impressive tower for sure but the foundations of that tower are held together by scotch tape and staples. Old man Lebron and famously fragile AD might not be as lucky this year and that door will can blow wide open if just one gets gimped.
Imagine what he could if he cared, amirite? He would just flirt with 30 burger triple doubles he'd average it.
LOL The going actually looks like it can become great. Harden-Wood will be a force hitherto unseen in NBA.
Some players can get in a rhythm and have a nice night, anyone can. What Wood shown tonight is control. Even if he was out of a rythm the groundwork seems there. He played at his pace showing he has the right patience and timing. A player that has talent but not control is Westbrook. Wood seemed to be going at the perfect pace for himself. I don't know why it took him this many years to get that sort of control but it seems that he found it somehow.
No I'm not thats why I said this is easily the most talentef team Harden has plaued with in Houston. But Lakers on another level Schroedder, KCP, Lebron, AD, Gasol with THT, Kuzma, Harrell and Caruso off the bench? Thats better than KD GSW imo with better depth and higher top level talent.
