Calvin Murphy and I like this. I trust Calvin when I saw him actually excited over Wood at half time.
Do u guys remember bholic? We sht on him so hard for trashing capela, but could wood been the player he was talkin about?
All I've got to say is. . . . . Olajuwon Who?? Just wanted to join in on the enthusiasm. Did I go too far?
Lol, nah its fine. That guy legitimately believes his scorching hot takes haha. We are just messing around.
Damn, that's true. Wall and Cousins would drive opposing coaches insane with that kind of depth running their bench off the court. Nice call.
Same reason okc let harden go.over 3 million Sometimes its just a numbers game n not cause a guy isn't good
I think a starting unit for the first 6 min: Harden / Gordon / Tate / Tucker / Wood Then switch it to for the next 6 min: Wall / Gordon / House / Tate / Cousins Sprinkle in Nwaba and Thomas for good measure but we don't want too much Wall and Harden at the same time. Keep Harden and Tucker fresh until they are traded so we don't hurt those assets and hopefully blow out teams in the process.
Did Harden know Wood was this good? I mean Wood only showed his potential in the shortened 19-20 season. And we only played Pistons twice a year. I doubt he watched many films on Wood.
https://www.houstonchronicle.com/te...stian-Wood-a-vital-first-step-in-15745457.php Though Wood’s rise from having to play his way onto the Pistons roster before the season to coveted free agent after made him a bit of a sudden sensation, Harden should know his game well. He and Wood played together in Los Angeles pickup games this offseason.
His comfort with the left hand is what gives him an edge beyond just a really good player. He seems interested in his craft. I can see him getting even better as he adds even more muscle---but not too much. I like him in the Duncan/Notwitzki zone.
From what I've been able to gather from running around 1 or 2 Pistons forums, he was playing PF most of the time with them and this year they own 95% of all PF's in the league and they have a ton of those and drafted another forward. Then they've got 2 "real" centers in Okafor and Plumlee. That, and I read some guys posting that Casey was getting frustrated with Wood's defensive lapses. I jokingly said he was Olajuwood during this game, but it's only one game. Let's see what happens when opposing teams go after him when he's on defense or have enough time to or even bother to plan for him now that he's a starter. Check out this article from last year that somebody wrote : https://www.detroitbadboys.com/2020...stian-wood-center-of-the-future-question-mark Silas has already said he'll be a center in this offense.
