Rockets need to hold until Harden plays 15 games in the season with current roster. If he still wants out after thay then have the deal ready to pull the trigger at that point.

You’d be surprised. And you keep saying 35/8/8. At least post actual numbers if you want to sound credible.

I think one element that’s been underestimated in this Harden preseason trade scenario is the non-negligible incentive for other teams to get it done before next Monday so that the new team can extend James Edward Harden

Your harden hatred is showing. Show me anywhere in NBA history a player like harden was traded for just 1,2, or even 3 first round pick.

Let me explain so your hatred brain can understand.

Say a bottom tier trade a first round pick (3 of them) for harden.
    1) they can't be consecutive years so it can only be '21,'23,'25 (when will we compete then?)
    2) the value of those pick decreases, Harden himself is gonna carry the bottom tier team to playoffs
    3) future is unpredictable as fk

Now why in god names would u trade a player for just first round picks especially if it decreases in value. Anyone who does that is a dumbass, hence y im pretty sure u can't give me a good example of such trade happening.

So Duncan Robinson is the hold up on a Heat trade. Lol.

this will happen anyway because other teams, mainly philly, also wants to see how they look. if the pieces they brought in help ben and joel fit better, and maybe ben shows some progress on his jumpshot then wont trade him for an older player.

i really hope no one ups their offer and forces harden to stay awhile and reassess things. wood looks like he might be the real deal. we have some potential but it remains to be seen if its elite or just a playoff team that can make it to the 2nd round of WCF. we have already done that. the goal is championship.

Selling high on Robinson and Herro is exactly what smart GMs do.

Harden, Butler, Bam, and Dragic would be on par with the Lakers.

I certainly hope our genius GM is more patient if all we are getting is Herro and ****ing Duncan Robinson plus whatever picks we get. That deal is something that will still be there later this season.

If “a lot” doesn’t include Bam... not interested.

To all those saying Morey said he would not trade Chris Paul, remember, he was forced to trade Chris Paul.

Don't get me wrong, I like that lineup, but not sure they have enough shooting without someone like robinson.

Obviously trading Harden for first round picks only isn’t even possible because the salaries wouldn’t match. We’d either be taking back expirings or some young useful assets but as I said the main attraction is the 3 first round picks (unprotected) of course. The Thunder made an absolute killing and got 4 unprotected 1st round picks and an additional protected first round pick with useful assets when they traded PG.
So yes, in recent NBA history a ‘lesser’ player yielded much more than what you’re talking about.

Also Harden is 31 years old. Any trade for him isn’t going to return equal value over night. If it’s picks we wait till they come to fruition. If it’s Simmons we also wait and not judge him after year 1 or 2 cause he’s still young, improving and not reached his prime yet. Bbbut bbut but Harden’s 35/8/8. Tell me more about that.

First of all I am responding to your slander
"If a sorry ass team like the Bulls/Hawks/Kings/OKC/Wolves etc. came with a proper package he’d already have been dealt" = since no deal appear harden isn't wanted at all/his value is sht

I asked u to give me a package instead of sprouting sht out of your ass. U stated heard of first round picks.

We can keep continuing but it seem like u are side tracking.

After a brutal day of leaks about Harden's ego and power in the organization, today seemed like a counterpunch. This and the Simmons leak both felt like the team saying 'we don't care what you think of his personality, we're going to trade him and by the way, he's in demand.' They're driving up the market for him, and Harden's pre-season play, especially tonight, indicates to me that he's cooperating with that process to show his skills off and at least pretend that he's willing to go the season with this team in order to get the price up to where it needs to be. I at first thought the team would just hold on to him till the trade deadline, but now it feels more and more like we're going to see a trade happen before the season.

Sure thing buddy. You call me a Harden hater yet you inflate his stats. In terms of value it may not be **** but obviously it wasn’t as high as any of us imagined.... this was before he showed up to camp late, out of shape and all the news of how toxic (allegedly) he is.

I’m a rockets fan first and foremost. Why the F wouldn’t I want maximum value or return for Harden in a trade? I simply stated that (max value) doesn’t seem to be readily available. You being the Harden fanboi that you are immediately took that as a jab to your hero.

Truth is ain’t nobody lining up for Harden. - BS
"If a sorry ass team like the Bulls/Hawks/Kings/OKC/Wolves etc. came with a proper package he’d already have been dealt" - name the fking package then

I simply stated that (max value) doesn’t seem to be readily available. no sir u did not.

I just want u to back up your statement which u can't do, so i don't think Harden hater isn't bad way to describe u.

Hell u even said earlier a trade package from those sht team should consist of first round picks w/o any players before back tracking.
