My take on that was to help identify what companies to target their Godmode hack of SolarWinds, and maybe to help breach first lines of defense. That is, I doubt SolarWinds server-monitoring software is the first line of defense to entry into a company ... and surely Fireeye wasn’t themselves aware of a 0day vulnerability of Godmode, or they would have told them

In war terminology, Fireeye provided a beach head, from which to launch the main assault for Godmode.

Any idea if this is good or bad for CRWD? On one hand fear of crwd getting breached has gone up, on the other companies may decide to spend more on security and crwd services.

We need immediate hearings on Hunter Biden's laptop(s) and submarine excursions to Epstein island. @basso @B@ffled

With Putin's puppet leaving soon, the timing of the hack is not odd at all, right?

Why our the nuclear networks even connected to the internet? Those weapons were developed 50 or 60 years ago.

The fact that you can't take this seriously says a lot.

This goes well beyond simple trump incompetence... his covert support of putin objectives should never be forgotten.

It's going to be years before we know the extent that US security has been compromised by Trump's soft spot for Putin..

How is this not an act of war? What's the definition of the act and how will we think about it in the future? What should the US (Biden) response be? If it is an act of war was Stuxnet? Are we doing the same to them, at least trying to melt their servers?

I'm not sure why anyone is surprised. Trump has, at best, been recklessly careless.

He has refused to use a secured line for official communications and instead uses a consumer iPhone.

He has downplayed the threat from Russia and refused to take preventative measures against these attacks.

He has refused to hold Russia accountable.

This has been going on for most of his one term. Now that he's leaving, the Russians are stepping it up trying to get a last big haul.

The president still hasn't shown any concern.

It is interesting to note that the critics, both on these boards and nationally, that were so concerned over Hillary's private server haven't been active in reacting to this
