What is arguable about the Harden led Rockets being a success? Who actually says a season is not a success unless they win the championship? What percentage of people actually believe that. I guess you believe the "We love you blue" folks were duped.
When you’re one of only 10 NBA teams with multiple championships. A multitude of all time great players, the expectation should never be second round of playoffs. If this were Charlotte? Yeah it would be a success.
Granted, not many would say: "A season is not a success unless they win the championship" -- unless the team is super-stacked and a heavy favorite or has made it to the Finals and lost recently. I could see a number of people saying "A stretch of 8 seasons is not a success unless you get to the Finals". Which would means there's only been a handful of "successful" teams over the last 8 years.
Individual success? Who is talking about that? You just said this about the Rockets. It’s raising the bar for what I would consider success To raise the barr of success you have to 1st achieve success. Man you are really tying yourself in knots here, I tried to end this but you keep contradicting yourself. And that's especially hilarious coming from someone who keeps telling me I don't deserve an explanation, if you had just answered my simple question in the beginning this would be finished.
You are an aggressive little **** aren’t you? I don’t give a **** what you want me to answer, my opinions are pretty clear to anyone that can comprehend English and have an open mind. I won’t play these petty games with you kid, so move the **** around.
But it was that very thing for almost 20 years before James showed up. Through the Franchise era, through the TMac/Yao Era, Through the Kmart/Goran/Lowry/Scola - Loveable Losers era. Making the playoffs after the championship years didnt happen too often for this franchise. To say it should be the standard is cool, but it takes a special kind of talent too - none of the other "stars" came close to doing what James has done and elevating these expectations. From 98-2012 we went to the playoffs exactly 5 times usually being 1st round fodder, and only once (2008) making it into the 2nd round. Since James showed up we've gone 8 years in a row and have been deemed legitimate title contenders some years.
So now its not successful because we have multiple championships? OK. So now it's about expectations and not actual results? And it does not matter the players other teams have we should just expect championships because we already have a couple. Makes perfect sense.
What is the goal for any team in the league? If you asked any GM, and head coach, any player-specially superstar, they would tell you championship. That’s the goal, the expectation for a handful of players. Harden is one of those.
You never answered the question about individual players and we moved on to a more specific topic do you not remember that? Why are you trying to gloss over the fact you just admitted you think the Rockets have been successful by bringing up individual players? You really should have just stopped.
Yes and I went through all of those years as a fan, I still wouldn’t settle for 8 years of playoffs if I had to go through that era again as a fan. Specially when you have a top 30 all time talent.
No, you should have stopped. You just look like more of a tool than you have the last couple days. It’s not a good look on you. I’m sorry you can’t maintain a train of thought long enough to keep up. There are some things to help with that. Let me know if you need it.
What does any of that have to do with the question of success? Your really flailing now. How many Gm's, head coaches or superstar players would say what the Rockets have done in the Harden years are not a success? Why do most teams pop Champaign after they win a playoff series?
Problem, which should be fun to see. If culture change changes when there down by 20 against a good west team. Does harden demand the ball gets them back into the game and they win it. Does it go back to ball hog harden or is other people going to step up in these situations? I just know that silas will crater in to letting harden do his thing, and everyone just watches him dribble dribble with everyone standing in the corners again. Watch...
No you’re looking like a moron. And the worst kind of moron, one that doesn’t realize they’re a moron.
It's amazing the amount of projection that comes out of certain posters. At least I am not the one who keeps say I am not gonna explain anything but keeps trying to explain everything. Talk about not keeping up.
