doesnt matter what harden does, the media will always hate him.. they kept him off all-nba in 2016 when he averaged 29/7/6 and i wouldnt be shocked if he didnt make the all-star team this year. They are gonna screw harden hard

Portland need 2 way players in the worst way.

Both McCollum and Dame are not known defenders.

Do people really not believe that teams are not jumping at the chance to trade for Harden?

The article wasn't some great work nor did it reported anything unknown, but I don't get the venom it has elicited. You essentially shared the same arguments Amick did in this article - namely - Other teams are not offering much for Harden at the moment AND Harden might be a Rocket for a long time.

No one is deep enough to trade for harden at our price and that's ok. We dont want **** picks because his skill makes teams have crap 1st rounders. This is his best chance to win because we dont have to give up wood, gordon, tucker, and cousins to get him. Ignore the media right now.

Step 1: Alienate all the top decision makers in your organization

Step 2: Have your GM, HC and player you over paid for in trade all demand out of the organization.

Step 3: Be blindsided when your franchise player questions why everyone is gone and asks for a trade.

    Step 4: Ignore trade request

Step 5: Act upset when trade request goes public and release story that you won't trade player anytime soon

Step 6: Act shocked when franchise player passive aggressively lashes out.

Step 7: Reality sets in that franchise player is serious about a trade.

Step 8: Speak to multiple journalists to trash franchise player so that fan base doesn't get angry when franchise player is traded.

Step 9: Finally realize that bashing franchise player to media makes entire organization look bad.

Step 10: Watch as value of franchise player in trade falls from negative half truth reports leaked to media.

Step 11: Make sure no one except rookie coach and players discuss or admit there is a problem.

Step 12: Get comfortable with the idea of Tobias Harris as big part of return for franchise player.

If the Blazers offered McCollum, Collins and picks for Harden, Stone should immediately hang up the phone. That’s the equivalent of the package the Spurs got for Kawhi. Yuck.

James Harden like myself is going to do what he wants to do. If he doesn’t want to put any more stain on his reputation then he needs man up and play for the team that he is signed under

**** Step 12. If the Rockets are dumb enough to trade for Tobias Harris on a max contract as the centerpiece in a James Harden trade, they deserve to become the Knicks of the West. The same goes for taking on Wiggins’ deal to move Harden to Golden State.

If James Harden doesn’t want to commit to the Houston Rockets then I will 86 him from half of the strip clubs in Houston

We are not in the business of giving the best scorer in the nba away for the heck of it.

that trade is a terrible return for us, yet it’s supposed to be some big ask for the mediocre, barely made the playoffs as a below .500 team Blazers...

CJ McCollum is 29 and is basically a 3 legged Chihuahua with 1 eye and an ear infection in comparison to a Doberman like Harden, and Zach Collins is nothing

this is really getting out of hand

I think teams are more worried they’d sell the future and potentially what talent they have to get a guy for two years, unless it’s one of the teams that he’s said he wants to go to. They’d be in same situation as Rockets last several years. Not enough depth to get to the Finals.

On the other hand our few 1st rd picks might have a little extra value if teams think we will trade harden.

Time to acquire J. Randle for a 1st, 2nd and clemons.

With Harden's disdain for the Rockets, wouldn't be surprised if he threw games in the playoffs (if we make the playoffs)
