    Trumpers always project their worst impulses on Democrats because they think that's how the world works.

    Trumpers will say that "Hunter Biden needs to be investigated and jailed because doing business with China is a conflict of interest for Joe Biden to make deals with China that help out his family members."

    However that talking point will have zero basis for fact. Because Joe Biden will only do one thing in regards to Chinese negotiations, and that will be related to dropping tarrifs in exchange for the US and other key allies not in this agreement joining this agreement:

    This isn't a controversy that will have any side deals like Trump had with MEMBERS OF THE EXECUTIVE BRANCH (Ivanka, and Jared) and Trump himself having personal business with Chinese associates while they are negotiating trade. Joe Biden has made his tax returns public, and there's no vehicle for him to drive money towards himself personally unlike Trump, Jared, and Ivanka who do very clearly.

    The fact is Hunter Biden under no circumstance will represent a conflict of interest to the American government as long as Hunter Biden is not in government in trade negotiations.

    Also why would the Chinese care to enrich the presidents son with money from an equity investment, or whatever when it has no bearing on the trade deal itself? The deal that China will get is not going to be a unilateral deal. Joe Biden just doesn't operate like that in government. China gets a trade deal to make money on their products for the foreseeable future without concern, they get tariffs dropped, and the US can then export it's goods much easier without worrying about tariffs. As long as the deal doesn't encourage jobs being shipped from the US then it's a win for everyone. No need to needlessly shovel money at the presidents son.

    he appears to have used his father's influence to gain favor in Ukraine and China. I say appears, because i only know what i read in the press, and it the russia investigation has shown us anything, it's that you can't believe anything you read in the press.

    one assumes the FBI investigation will provide clarity, although as we shall see in the Durham investigation, elements of the FBI are irrevocably partisan and corrupt.
