The statistic is not useful when you have countries that report COVID deaths at much lower rates. Is there a way to control for that?

It is not Christian, but it is hard not to hope that once the rest of us get vaccinated so we don't have to worry about this official and other boneheads infecting us, that they keep going to large indoor Trump rallies till and their Revivals till Darwinian Selection takes its course.
It doesn't seem like there's tons of outliers among death reporting - India and Russia seem pretty weirdly low but most European/Latin American countries with reportedly bad outbreaks are reporting pretty high numbers of deaths, some higher per capita than the US. The US just has SO MANY cases overall.
