if only harden was light or euro dmo, scola, battier, and dragic get all the love here. even kevin martin was treated on the site better than harden. Joey Dorsey, Luther Head, Jermaine Taylor, Von Wafer, and Lowry was accused by this very site of being jealous of dragic. .Notice a pattern, darker skin players in the nba are are much more prone to criticism even amongst their own fanbase. Look at draymond and durant in golden state, kawhi and paul george, bev and harrell on the clippers, kyrie and durant right now on the nets. Anthony Davis and steph curry get passes al the time. If harden faked an injury like curry did last year to keep from getting exposed espn and the rest of leftist media would have pounced on him. Anthony davis was allowed to opnely demand he wanted to be traded while still under contract and the lefiist media sided with him even tho anthony davis had more than enough talent on those pelicans teams to reach higher than an 8th seed all those years in the west. Harden apparently wants a trade and all hell breaks loose. Kevin Durant claims he wants to leave curry and the warriors and all hell breaks loose. WAKE UP Even Kobe only got 1 mvp award, Harden should have had more and would have had more if he was lighter skinned( my opinion). Lebron hasnt won an mvp since david stern meanwhile curry gets 2, giannis gets 2, and now luka is the favorite even though he is a garbage defender that camps under the paint for rebounds( he never gets called out for it). This is adam silvers nba, where light is right. Lebron gets critisized as well or used to until he pulled a power move and got his own agency
The forum/site used to be ClutchCity but was changed because the Rockets copyrighted ClutchCity, IIRC.
Geez......stop whining about fans whining. Fans don't deserve this or that - GEEZ - that is just silly......worry about your own self.....don't project onto others. Philly fans are laughing at you! DD
gordon hayward had the same wrist injury not even 2 weeks later and returned in December. Curry damn near sat out the whole season. It’s funny how the media kept hush on that and didn’t accuse curry of faking his injury. When the media did the complete opposite towards Kevin Durant in the finals accusing him of faking his Achilles injury and being happy that the warriors were losing without him to the raptors. Prior to that during the blazers series the talk was the warriors didn’t need Durant lol and that his iso ball was making curry look bad( curry getting yet another of his many excuses for sucking in the playoffs). Until they needed him in the finals the leftist media completely disrespected a two time finals mvp because they believe he took their precious Curry’s finals mvps lol. The whole thing with the media about guilting Durant to come back to the finals was strictly and only to help steph curry get a finals mvp. THATS ALL THAT MATTERED
Yup. After forcing the Westbrook trade last year I think the front office said we can’t let you dictate trades anymore. FO wanted to trade Westbrook, harden didn’t like that. Now he wants out. Rockets doing the best for the Rockets and James is doing the best for James. It what it is
aren't u exaggerating the players that played with Harden to display your hatred? Wall, a superstar? I'm not the one throwing the label superstar toan aging Cp3 and westbrick just to make harden look bad. There's one thing to be disappointed in harden for giving up on our team and ring chasing, but don't act like the supporting cast around Harden was great. edit: i am still unclear if harden made an ultimatum to trade cp3.
There's definitely a lack of nuance when it comes to Harden discussions on CF. It seems that the vast majority of people here either think he was a loyal superstar who gave it all and came up short because of the personnel surrounding him, or he was a selfish party-boy who showed up fat every year and played a selfish brand of ball that couldn't possibly win a title. The truth is that all of that is true to some extent, but there's a lot of gray area when it comes to discussing Harden, especially with the way the organization had coddled him over the years—and even that coddling is more nuanced than threads here on CF would have you believe.
Nope. I'm not. I've got no hatred for Harden other than stating what is fact in that he never put forth full effort here and that he cannot carry a team to a title as the main piece. Call those players what you want, but the first two are hall of famers.
This is nonsense. James would get paid nearly $120 million by the Rockets if he had a career ending injury tomorrow. It's not unreasonable to expect him to honor his deal in a professional manner. Regardless to what extent what person signed off, the facts are that he's at least in part responsible for mortgaging the future for Russ and also in part responsible for that situation deteriorating after one year and asking out immediately with two years left on his deal after making our rebuild much harder. The way he's handled this offseason and his trade request have also made it a lot harder to get good value back in a trade. I love Harden as a player but I don't have a syndrome where I'm going to give him a pass for screwing over my favorite team now and thank him for it. If he comes back/stays and is locked in, all is good though.
People enabling James at this point astound me. How can anyone believes this guy is anything other than a great scorer. He’s not a leader and not a winner. Why does anyone want to continue to build around this guy?
It's fine OP, the stupid people all like talent leaving the organization. It's almost always the same idiots with their bad opinions and their lack of knowledge in basketball. They get to talk how they have always wanted to. Frankly, some of these guys deserve Fertitta.
