QB Ja'Quinden Jackson officially in the portal. If he follows through, Herman will have now have lost commitments from the 3rd ranked Dual Threat QB from 2020, the 4th ranked from 2021, and the #1 overall player ranked in 2022 all within a 4 month span.
Probably nothing at this point. Pretty sure he knows his job is completely dependent on someone else’s answer, whoever that may be.
One was bound to happen after signing 2 top QBs in 2020. But losing Milroe due to Ewers and then losing Ewers a month later is pathetic. Unfortunately OL recruiting is even worse.
Yes they lost Kyler to OU and Allen to UH IIRC. Recruiting is really at a crossroads of sorts right now. The 2021 class is obviously disappointing but think we've still added a bit of talent. The two previous classes help soften the blow as well. But 2022 is where we can see some big issues arise if Herman is indeed brought back. He's essentially a lame duck coach and with how early kids are committing/signing, things will get out of hand quick. UT brass better have something up their sleeve or this has "coaching search" has really been handled as horribly as it could have. Rumors that Urban turned us down, Herman begging for another job, AD releasing a vague vote of confidence after going radio silent for majority of the season, etc...
WR Brennan Eagles declared for the draft. Kid has size and speed that might get him drafted late. But seems like another kid getting some bad advice.
